PROTECTING ELECTRONICS IN HARSH ENVIRONMENTS:
I’ve been a competitive swimmer most of my life and frequently thought a pace clock, visible on the bottom of the pool as I swam, would be helpful in training. It was one of those delayed, bucket list items, but I finally got around to it. - About 15 years ago PACE PAL, LLC or PACE PAL® was created. It has been a fascinating journey, with the help of many highly skilled people (i.e. industrial design, manufacturing and material expersts) along the way.
Water and electronics are great adversaries. Over the years we learned a few things about the design and manufacture of robust encasements to seal water out. It dawned on me that our robust case technologies and know-how had more applications than just aquatic sports (i.e. health care, military, public safety, security, and mining to name a few). So, recently, we added a d/b/a for PACE PAL®, WATERPROOF CASE TECH, to invite customization projects for other sectors of the economy. Let us know if you need to protect electronics, displays, control panels, gauges or instruments from potentially harsh or unstable surroundings. - We'll help you create a rugged protective case that also allows you to access and/or interface with what's inside.
One of my goals is to be easily accessible to customers. - Here's my contact info:

As a 70 year old training to swim a 200 meter long course fly I found this presentation by Glenn Mills and Karlyn Pipes very helpful.

"Sometimes, by exaggerating a bad habit on purpose, swimmers can quickly find their way to better technique. Masters world record holder Karlyn Pipes shows how this works for butterfly."

Very exciting news for paralyzed people:
'Amazing' treatment helps paralyzed people walk again
Kelly Thomas is paralyzed from the chest down and can consciously control her ability to walk, researchers say, thanks to a stimulation device in her lower back. Two studies released Monday show three paralyzed patients can walk again.

I was so lucky to swim for Gus Stager, one of the greatest swimming coaches in history (Rome Olympic Coach, multiple U of Michigan NCAA Team Championships). He and his Wolverine NCAA Championship Team were featured in this March 17, 1958 Sports Illustrated article. Gus is shown observing his elite sprinter, Dick Hanley (America's leading sprinter at the time). Compare Hanley's posture and technique with today's conventional wisdom. What will it look like in 60 more years?
