A clinical study is a research study performed in people with the aim of evaluating a medical, surgical or behavioral intervention. They are the primary way that researchers find out if a treatment, like a drug or medical device (like a pacemaker) is safe and effective in people. 👁️ Bothered by Floaters?

As we age, it’s common to notice small “floaters” drifting through your field of vision. For most people, they’re harmless - but in some cases, they can become dense enough to interfere with everyday activities like reading or driving.

🩺 In more severe cases, one treatment option is a vitrectomy - a surgical procedure that removes the eye’s vitreous gel to reduce or eliminate floaters and improve vision.

If floaters are impacting your quality of life, our specialists at Retina Associates of Michigan can help determine the best course of care.
