Our final Senior Spotlight features Eva Baldiga! Eva is a Midfielder wearing jersey #21 for the Bobcats. Outside of the game, she is an early college student through the University of Michigan-Flint and is a part of Grand Blanc Young Life. Her favorite Bobcat soccer memory is getting pulled up to varsity during her sophomore year for the Petoskey tournament—jumping off the pier and riding in a limo made for an unforgettable weekend with the team!
To get match-ready, Eva’s favorite pre-game fuel is Sour Patch Kids and Red Bull. Looking ahead, she will continue her studies at the University of Michigan-Flint to pursue a career in Nursing, with the goal of becoming a nurse manager.
She leaves her younger teammates with this heartfelt advice: "Play every game like its your last, because you never know when one injury could take a season away from you. Also, be thankful for every game, every practice, and every moment with your team because it all goes by way too fast". We are so proud of you, Eva! ⚽️❤️🖤

Up next for our Senior Spotlight series is team captain, Shelby Hart! Shelby is a standout Center Back for the Bobcats, commanding the defense in jersey #20. Her dedication to the sport is evident through her play with Detroit City FC, and she balances her time on the field with the Cosmetology Program at the Genesee Career Institute. Her favorite memory with the team is a truly unforgettable one: the dance battle in the rain before their game against Bay City Western!
To stay fueled for a match, Shelby’s go-to pre-game choice is Chipotle. After graduation, she will be heading to Jackson College to major in Business Management.
She leaves her teammates and coaches with this heartfelt message: "Take it game by game, play your game but for the team. Thank you to the girls and coaches. I will miss you all, thank you for letting me be me!" We are so incredibly proud of you, Shelby! ⚽️❤️🖤

Next up in our Senior Spotlight series is Nevaehlee Crockett! Nevaehlee is an Outside Back for the Bobcats wearing jersey #18. Her commitment to soccer continues in the off-season where she plays club soccer through Nationals and FAU. She stays very active at GBHS participating in Science Olympiad, the Debate team, and volunteering as a tutor. Looking back on her time with the program, her favorite memories are the long JV bus rides spent with her friends.
To stay fueled for a match, Nevaehlee’s favorite pre-game snacks are Cuties and grapes. Following graduation, she plans to attend the University of Michigan-Flint to major in Psychology, and she hopes to continue playing club or recreational soccer for fun.
She leaves her younger teammates with this inspiring advice: "Show up for your teammates—be strong, be kind, and be determined, for the team’s attitude defines the game. Never forget to have fun!" We are so proud of you, Nevaehlee! ⚽️❤️🖤
