The best and most powerful advice a Father can give his child.

King David is speaking to his son, soon to be King Solomon.

And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.
1 Chronicles 28:9

Everyday God thinks of you-

Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Psalm 68:19

Every hour God looks after you-

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3

Every minute God cares for you-

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7

Every second He loves you-

The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. Jeremiah 31:3

"He has made everything beautiful in it's time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end." Ecclesiastes 3:11

God has "set eternity in the hearts of men." This means that we can never be completely satisfied with earthly pleasures and pursuits.
Because we are created in God's image, (1) We have a spiritual thirst, (2) We have eternal value, and (3) nothing but the eternal God can truly satisfy us.
God has built in us a restless yearning for the kind of perfect world that can only be found in his perfect rule. He has given us a glimpse of the perfection of his creation. But it is only a glimpse; we cannot see into the future or comprehend everything. So we must trust God now and do his work on earth.

Do what God called you to do-

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. John 15:16
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Mark 16:15

It won't always be easy-

If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
John 15:18

Don't allow fear (Satan) to stop you from doing what God called you to do-

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

We Belong To HIM

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Psalm 139:13-16

because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons (and daughters) of God.
Romans 8:14

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
1 Corinthians 3:16

Do you not know that your body is the temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20

You are all sons (and daughters) of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
Galatians 3:26-27

A prayer from the Children of God,
Dear Jesus, you have chosen me and I am humbled to know I am your child. The King of kings has chosen me to love him back, I can't help but feel lucky and amazed. Help me oh Lord to love you with the compassion you love me with. Help me become the child you intended me to be. Help me Father to obey you the way a child should obey their parent. Help me my God to become your vessel and fill me with your Holy Spirit so I can do the things you have planned for me! Amen

What does it mean to Hope in the Lord?

The word hope implies both trust and patience. Trust involves confidence in God's power to deliver and faith that he will keep his promises. Hoping in the Lord also implies the patience to wait for God's promises since God works according to his own timing.

"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength." Isaiah 40:31
"We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield." Psalm 33:20

It is so easy to lose focus and become distracted with the world and what it has to offer us. We yearn for it to satisfy our needs and to fulfill our desires. It becomes a lonely and exhausting path.

But God says, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."
Revelations 3:20

He is standing at your door knocking waiting for you to "cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you."
1 Peter 5:7

And remember, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
