Well last night did not go as planned at night #1 of the John Seitz Memorial at River Cities Speedway. With 59 of the best late model teams around signed in, we started 6th in the 6th heat race and brought it home in a solid 8th place at the line. Not ideal going minus 2 positions in a passing points show but today is a new day and we will try again.

Night #2 will give us two potential chances to make the main event. We start deep in the field and it is a “win and your in” kinda day…

Well we didn’t make it in the big show but nothing to shake our heads at when you are up against this level of competition! We made some great strides with the car this weekend. On to next week not sure where we will end up but stay tuned!

Race Day!

Unloaded at Red River Valley Speedway for night #1 of the Howie Schill Memorial. An amazing field of 47 late models are signed in for tonight. Heat race we finished 4th, top 3 transferred, B-main finished 5th, top 2 transferred but still a good night even without making the A-main.

Night #2 is tomorrow with even more cars expected to be in attendance, so if you don’t have anything going on the action starts at 7pm.

Ready to go for night #2 at Dacotah Speedway for the Governors Cup and it is a HOT one out here! We drew pill 4 which put us on the front row of Heat #2. I over drove the first corner and fell back for a solid 5th place finish. Which put us starting 4th in B-main #1. We have been fighting brake issues for a few nights now and have struggled to locate the source of the issue. I lost brakes at the end of the B-main but was able to hold on to a 4th place finish making the main event. We thrashed to get the brakes fixed but they gave out again in the feature so we pulled off around lap 16 scoring a 24th place DNF finish. On to next week and some new master cylinders.

Well we made the trek out to Dacotah Speedway for the Governor’s Cup. 37 lates checked in for a hot and sticky night of racing. We passed some cars in our heat race finishing 4th, which was a positive since it was a passing point show. Didn’t pass enough cars to make the cut so we started front row of the second B-main and I wheeled the car right out of a transfer position finishing 6th one spot short of a transfer spot. Tomorrow is a new day and we will give it another try.
