Our first annual Glow N’ Arrow 2026 Fundraiser was a huge success! We had an amazing turnout and raised funds for our team! We had so many compliments, and requests to run another one soon. It’s in the works 😉

Shout out to all the students who helped organize and run this shoot to make it such a success!

Big thanks to Red Rock Archery and the crew for their accommodations and letting us use the range after hours!

🌟🌟 1st Annual Glow N’ Arrow Fundrasier 🌟🌟

On Saturday, February 21st at 6 pm, join the CMU Maverick Archery team for their first ever fundraiser shoot at Red Rock Archery in Grand Junction, Colorado!

We will be shooting a traditional 300 Vegas scoring round, but under blacklights! We will keep score and will award custom trophies to 1st through 3rd place in each class! Classes are as follows (select one from each option):

1. Male or Female
2. Adult, Senior (50 and up), or Youth (17 and under)
3. Open, Pins, Recurve, or Barebow Recurve
(Classes can be added upon request with enough interest)

$20 entry fee! Official arrows will start flying at 6 pm, registration opens at 5 pm. Space is limited to 48 participants, so get registered soon! We have 8 10-yard slots available, and 40 20-yard slots available. 10 yard slots are reserved for youth participants.

We will have concessions on site (snacks and drinks). We will also be hosting a little raffle on the side with all kinds of goodies! All proceeds will benefit CMU Shooting Sports. Payment will be made at the event via cash, check, Venmo, or PayPal.

Today, on National Women in Sports Day, we celebrate the powerhouse women of Colorado Mesa University Archery and Shotgun. These Mavericks lock in, take aim, and let their hard work fly—whether it’s arrows downrange or clays in the air. With every shot and every release, they shatter stereotypes and prove that precision, grit, and mental toughness define this sport—not gender. They compete with confidence, represent CMU with pride, and inspire the next generation to step up, aim higher, and believe they belong on the line. This is Maverick focus. This is Maverick stampede. And I am incredibly proud to coach women who wear the CMU name and hit their mark every single day. The future of shooting sports is here—and it wears Maverick maroon. 🎯🔥

While most Mavs are just getting back into the swing of things for the Spring semester, we have one Mav that is ROCKING it halfway across the nation!

Bailey Rogers, a junior in our archery program, competes in Olympic Recurve. Bailey chose to self fund and represent CMU on the stage at the 2026 Lancaster Archery Classic in PA.

Bailey had an outstanding weekend, and definitely made many people proud!

🌟 2nd place Collegiate Womens Olympic Recurve

🌟 6th place overall at the Classic, out of 54 other women!

This qualified her for the shoot downs, where Bailey had the pleasure of shooting against one of the greatest female archers in the world.
