Initiating contact in the CONTACT sport of basketball does a few things that brings some advantages…💪🏾🔋
1️⃣. It sets the tone of the players physicality, it’s best to do that at the beginning to establish your force/presence.
2️⃣. It creates separation to get the desired shot you want.
3️⃣. It can grant your team an opportunity to get the defense into foul trouble which is a benefit to your team.
4️⃣. It can also negatively affect the defenders conditioning.
