another great show!

This is my third time going to see a play by Broadway Dallas and every time I’m amazed at how they tell the story.

I’m already eyeing shows for 2026.

How I check my kid’s work while I’m still working 👇🏾

I don’t grade everything right away… I just do quick check-ins when I can.

This was today’s setup… I left a note with what to fix, what to double-check, and what to bring back when he’s done.

It keeps him focused and lets me keep working without a bunch of interruptions.

When you’re working and homeschooling, simple systems like this really help.
It doesn’t have to be perfect… it just has to work for you.

Wow… a lot of y’all said you’re trying to figure out how to work and homeschool without losing your mind 😅

I get it… it’s a lot.
Trying to teach, get your work done, and still have something left for yourself? Whew.

So yes… I’m putting together a live session to show exactly how I make it work… how I find my rhythm, plan the week, and keep things running without losing it.

Nothing fancy… just real life and what actually works for me.

I’ll drop the date and details soon, but if you already know you want in… comment 💻 or “I’m in” so I can make sure you get the link first.

Be honest…
Are you out here trying to work and homeschool without losing your mind? 👀

I’m thinking about doing a live session to show how I actually make it work… building rhythm, not chaos.

Would that be helpful? Drop a 🙋🏾‍♀️ or a “me” in the comments if you’d join… I just want to see who needs this.

So now that you’ve found your groove… let’s talk about building a daily rhythm that actually works 👇🏾

Forget the color-coded schedules… you need a flow that fits your real life.

Here’s what helped me…

✅ Anchor your day around what has to happen, work blocks, meals, naps.
✅ Fill in learning times that fit you, not what someone else says it should look like.
✅ Keep transitions simple… too many moving parts = chaos.
✅ And give yourself permission to adjust… often.

Our rhythm doesn’t look perfect, but it works because it’s ours.
The goal isn’t to control every minute… it’s to create consistency that gives everyone peace.

So you’ve started homeschooling while you work… and it’s not going smooth? 😅

Take a breath sis, that’s normal.

Here’s what helped me when everything felt like chaos 👇🏾

1️⃣ Shorten the day… less is more when you’re finding your flow.
2️⃣ Teach one new routine at a time… not five.
3️⃣ Expect interruptions… they come with the territory.
4️⃣ Keep showing up… consistency always wins.

You’re not failing, you’re figuring it out.
Every family has a learning curve… give yourself some grace.

How to start homeschooling while you work 👇🏾

The goal isn’t to recreate school at home…
It’s to build a rhythm that works for your family.

Before you even start, focus on these 3 things…
✅ A simple routine, not a strict schedule
✅ Curriculum or resources that don’t need you every second
✅ A plan for your work blocks, so you know when you can focus

Set them up with everything they need before you start… books, laptop, supplies… so you’re not stopping every five minutes.

And give it time, the first few weeks are about adjusting, not perfection.

The key? Structure that fits your real life, not someone else’s.

Yesterday was rough… some days just take you OUT!

Here’s how I bounce back without dragging the mess into tomorrow👇🏾

1️⃣ I stop replaying the day.
It’s done. I can’t be fixed… Move on chick!

2️⃣ I clean one thing.
Not the whole house, just one space that helps me breathe again.

3️⃣ I set up tomorrow’s first win.
Lay out books… prep my coffee… block my morning.
Something small that makes the next day start easier.

That’s it.
No big routine.
No “perfect reset.”
Just small steps that get me back on track.

Consistency isn’t about never falling off…
it’s about knowing how to get back up.
