Summer workout session ✅
Great to get some of the squad together and spend the day putting in quality work. Sessions like these are about more than strength and fitness, they’re about reconnecting, sharing some laughs and continuing to build our standards before preseason begins.

We’re excited to announce that Shane Poni will be joining Aquinas Rugby this fall.
Coming from the well-known Belmont Shore rugby pathway, Shane is a powerful, high-work-rate loose forward who will bring a consistent edge threat in attack and a strong presence at the breakdown. His physicality, work ethic and ability as a jackal specialist will make him a valuable addition to our program.

From Rugby League World Champion to building champions at Aquinas. Learn more about the impact Head Coach Lance Hohaia is making on and off the pitch as he continues to shape the next generation of Saints. Click on the link in our bio to read more.
This U.S. summer break has provided a fantastic opportunity for current junior Gavin Thompson and incoming freshman Xavier McNeil to continue their development at Inside Running Academy in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.
Through a collaboration between AQ Mens Rugby kiwi coach Lance Hohaia and Inside Running Academy, the boys have immersed themselves in New Zealand rugby culture: training in a high performance environment, learning the haka, experiencing a traditional hāngī, and enjoying everything the Bay of Plenty has to offer.
It’s rewarding to see two of our players experience the country and culture of New Zealand. Opportunities like this help young athletes grow both on and off the field.
We look forward to welcoming Gavin and Xavier back to Aquinas and seeing how this experience helps strengthen our program.

We’re excited to announce that Cian Conway will be joining Aquinas Rugby this fall.
Originally from Galway, Ireland, and a product of the Galway Corinthians club, Cian is a mobile back rower with a high work rate. His set piece ability, Irish rugby background and international playing experience make him a valuable addition to our program.

Congratulations to Liam Inman on being named a National Collegiate Rugby Scholastic All American.
This recognition is awarded to student athletes who excel both in the classroom and on the field, making it a tremendous achievement.
What stands out most about Liam is not just his academic success or his rugby ability, but the way he carries himself every day. He is a standard setter within our program, a respected leader among his teammates, and someone who consistently represents Aquinas Rugby with humility and professionalism.
We’re incredibly proud of Liam and all that he has accomplished. This honor is well deserved. 👏🐶

A product of the highly regarded Belmont Shore Rugby Club, Sinamoni is a high IQ scrum half with outstanding game awareness and decision making. His ability to control the tempo of a match, create opportunities for teammates, and make plays under pressure makes him a valuable addition to our program
