Did you know that drama education does so much more than prepare students for the stage?
Through theatre, students develop confidence, communication, creativity, and collaborationâskills that will serve them for a lifetime. Whether theyâre speaking their first line, designing a costume, or working together backstage, every experience helps them grow as leaders, problem-solvers, and teammates.
At GRCS, we believe the arts are a gift from God and an opportunity for students to use their unique talents to serve others and glorify Him. Our drama program provides a safe, encouraging environment where students are empowered to take creative risks, build meaningful friendships, and discover the joy of storytelling.
Because drama isnât just about putting on a showâitâs about helping students become who God created them to be. đâ¨

Every role matters. Every performer matters. Use your gifts to glorify God and serve others through the arts. â¨
In theatre, there are no small parts and no unimportant people. Every actor, crew member, musician, and volunteer contributes something special that helps tell the story.
Audition Tip:
⢠Come ready to give your best, regardless of the role you hope to receive.
⢠Remember that serving the production is just as important as being seen on stage.
⢠Support your fellow cast members and celebrate their successes.
⢠Be willing to learn, grow, and step outside your comfort zone.
⢠Use your talents as an opportunity to honor God and encourage others.
At GRCS, theatre is about more than applause or standing ovations. Itâs about building community, developing the gifts God has entrusted to us, and using those gifts to make a positive impact on those around us.
Whether you find yourself in the spotlight, behind the scenes, or helping others shine, know this: you have a place, and your contribution matters.
As we prepare for Titanic: The Musical, letâs commit to using our gifts with humility, excellence, and joy.

Rest, hydrate, and shine! Your best performance starts with taking care of yourself. đ˘đ§â¨
Itâs easy to focus on songs, lines, and choreography, but one of the most important parts of audition preparation is taking care of yourself.
Audition Tip:
⢠Get a good nightâs sleep before audition day.
⢠Drink plenty of water throughout the week.
⢠Eat a healthy meal or snack beforehand.
⢠Warm up your voice and stretch your body.
⢠Take a moment to pray, breathe, and relax before you walk into the room.
When youâre well-rested and prepared, youâll feel more confident, focused, and ready to perform. Your mind, body, and voice work togetherâand caring for each one helps you give your very best.
Remember: directors arenât looking for perfection. Theyâre looking for students who are prepared, present, and willing to share their talents.
Take care of yourself, trust your preparation, and let your light shine. We canât wait to see you aboard Titanic: The Musical!

Preparation is one of the best ways to honor your gifts and opportunities. â¨đ˘
Every talent is a gift, and every opportunity is a chance to grow. Whether this is your first audition or your tenth, taking time to prepare shows gratitude for the abilities youâve been given and respect for the opportunity before you.
Audition Tip:
⢠Learn your audition materials thoroughly.
⢠Practice with purpose, not just repetition.
⢠Set aside time each day to prepare.
⢠Ask for feedback from a teacher, parent, or friend.
⢠Come ready to do your bestânot to be perfect.
Remember, success isnât measured by getting a particular role. Itâs measured by the effort, dedication, and heart you bring to the process.
When you prepare faithfully, you walk into the audition room knowing youâve honored your gifts and made the most of the opportunity in front of you.
We canât wait to see the incredible talents our students will bring to Titanic: The Musical this year!

âDo to others as you would have them do to you.â â Luke 6:31 â¤ď¸
One of the most important parts of any production isnât found in the script or the scoreâitâs how we treat one another.
Audition Tip:
⢠Encourage your fellow performers.
⢠Celebrate othersâ successes alongside your own.
⢠Be respectful to directors, volunteers, and stage crew.
⢠Offer a kind word to someone who may be nervous.
⢠Remember that every person involved plays an important role in bringing the story to life.
Theatre is a team effort. Whether youâre cast in a leading role, working backstage, or helping behind the scenes, we are called to build one another up and reflect Christâs love in all we do.
As we prepare for Titanic: The Musical, letâs create a community marked by kindness, encouragement, and graceâboth on and off the stage.
