Jake Jonker finishes his career with a 4th Place finish at the Division 2 State Finals at 157 lbs.
Please help us in congratulating him on his effort this weekend, and for his commitment to the Kenowa Hills Wrestling program over the last four years.

Jake Jonker wins his Consolation Semi-Final by score of 3-2 over New Boston Huron.
He will wrestle for 3rd Place at 11:00am.

State Tournament update:
Eugene Barrientes falls to 0-2, but wrestled hard and came up just short in the consolation round.
Jake Jonker is off to a 2-0 start and is in the Semi-Finals tonight at 6:30. He has secured All-State status.

The Kenowa Hills High School wrestling team had a historic showing today at Regionals. Jake Jonker finished 2nd at 157 and Eugene Barrientes finished 4th at 126. This marks the first time since 2008 that Kenowa Hills has sent multiple wrestlers to the state tournament. Jake and Eugene will compete March 1st and 2nd at Ford Field.
Our female athletes Tate Schmit, Ashley Bacallao, and Karen Bishop will compete tomorrow at Gull Lake High School for the Girls Regional Championship.

We wrapped up week one of the postseason today at Fremont High School for Individual Districts. We finished the day with two placewinners, who will be moving on to the Regional tournament. Eugene Barrientes finished in third place and Jake Jonker is the District Champion.

The Knights had another great showing this week. After dropping a tough dual to Coopersville on Senior and Youth Night, we took third at the CJ Crown Invitational at Jenison High School.
