started my new workout guide on Monday & holyyyy was I sore yesterday. ngl, I was a bit nervous about this 8 week challenge bc it seemed easier than the workouts I’ve been doing - & ya girl was WRONG 🥵

the first workout (some exercises are in my last post) was a lot of body weight exercises, but it DEMOLISHED my legs.

I can’t even tell you how many summers I’ve spent obsessing over my food/exercise just trying to look good in a bikini...this summer is ✨DIFFERENT✨

I’m not restricting food or working out to “make up” for eating. I’m eating foods that fuel me & working out bc I WANT TO 😜🏋🏻♀️

I took yesterday (kinda) off from the gym - just walked for a bit & did some core work. & I’m probably gonna take another rest day today bc ya girl is tireddd.

I went golfing Sunday with a couple of friends & I think I found a new hobby 🤭 I had sooo much fun learning & I wanna go again soon. & then yesterday I worked and went tubing down a river (ended up being cold outside & the water was freezing) but we still made it fun 😜 but now I need to play catch up on meal prepping, cleaning & sleeping LOL

✨ GYM CONFIDENCE ✨

we all start somewhere. we all walk into a gym for the first time at some point. we all start out nervous, not knowing what to do.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
gym confidence isn’t something we start out with at the beginning of our fitness journeys- at least for me it wasn’t.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
my top tips for gaining confidence in the gym 👇🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ music- having a good playlist is everything to me at the gym. I literally feel lost without my AirPods 😩 make a good playlist, put in your headphones and jam out while working out
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ outfit- feeling confident in your outfit can make or break a workout! weather you like to wear a matching fit or shorts & a T, put on something you feel comfortable in!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ the gym- take the time to find a gym you feel comfortable in! not all gyms have the same atmosphere, so take time to test out a few before deciding where to go (it’s a place you’ll be going multiple times a week, so you want to make sure you enjoy going)

waking up today & telling myself it’s gonna be a good day 😌🤍

I’ve been feeling off & a bit anxious since Ive gotten back from Arizona, I think it’s partially bc I’m not sure what I’m doing or where I want to end up (in my job & where I’m living). I graduated a year ago with a degree in nutrition and I still haven’t found a job that relates to it- and this stresses me out SO MUCH. I always thought finding a job after graduation would be easy, that I’d have so many to choose from, but that’s really not the case (or that’s what it seems like at least)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BUT ANYWAYSSS, I’ve been feeling down and stressed trying to figure out what steps I want/need to be taking to find a job in my field & trying to decide where I want to live once my lease is up (or sooner 👀)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
have been waking up feeling anxious every day & this morning I woke up and told myself “no, not today. I’m making today a good day” & that’s what I’m gonna dooooo.

starting my day off slow with coffee and breakfast, then meeting a friend to workout & get lunch & just catch up, and then spending the afternoon looking at jobs, cleaning my house, cooking and just doing things I like 😊️

sry for the long ramble of a post 🤭 but I really love all of you and feel like I know you personally & I enjoy sharing more than just fitness 🤍

spent the day yesterday at the pool & walking around downtown some...currently eating breakfast rn before going on a hike with my mom ☀️

not sure when/if I’ll workout (I’ll probably find a gym later today or tomorrow bc I’m itching to lift some weight haha) but making this trip all about doing what I want and being present

🧘🏻♀️ stretch before/after EVERY workout! I’ve been really good at stretching before OR after my workouts like 3x a week. I’m going to start stretching before & after EVERY lift!

🏋🏻♀️ squat 150lbs. I’ve been stuck at 110lbs now for a longgg time. I want to focus on getting my form down better & then add weight! I think stretching & loosening my legs/hips/ankles will really help!

🤸🏻♀️ start practicing my handstands. I really reallyyyy want to get a cartwheel & a got a tip to work on my handstands first to get used to my hips being up and thennn work towards a cartwheel!

☄️ hip thrust 300lbs! I’ve been stuck at 250-280lbs for a couple of months now. I think the stretching will help some & my new split! I have 2 leg days a week, previously I was doing squats, deadlifts & hip thrusts all on the SAME workout and I’ve realized that it’s hard to hit heavy weight when I’m doing all heavy lifts. so I’ve broken up my leg days to focus on hip thrusts on one and squats/deadlifts on another!

took a break from social media this weekend & it was honestly so nice. sometimes it just gets too much trying to be active on here & other platforms all the time.

on Saturday, me & some friends had a girls night and then on Sunday I went wine tasting w friends and walked around the city I live in. overall, was a really fun weekend 🤍
