As the calendar has now turned to November, the Dirty Herd will be returning to Robinette's tomorrow. Please note the new start time. We will be running at 10:00am tomorrow morning and for the remainder of the winter. Also, don't forget about the time change tomorrow.

Ladies and gentlemen, here is your late August reminder that the Robinette's trail is closed for the month of September and October. The Robinette's family closes the trail each fall for their harvest season, and we encourage everyone to respect their wishes and enjoy some of the other trails in town to ride and/or run. And yes, this includes even the early morning or late evening loops. They are very gracious in allowing us access the other 10 months of the year, so please don't be the person that gets the trail closed permanently. Thank you.
And because the Dirty Herd will continue to run, we will joyfully accept the hospitality of the Cannonsburg Ski Area crew AND move the start time to 4:00pm. I repeat, the Dirty Herd, STARTING THIS SUNDAY, will be moving to Cannonsburg Ski Area at 4:00pm. Thanks for reading. See you Sunday!

There's been a small change to Sunday's Altra Demo day. The Olympus 5 has been substituted out and replaced with the Lone Peak 8. The Lone Peak 8 is a more current model, and with the new Olympus 6 scheduled to come out very soon, demoing the soon-to-be extinct version just didn't make sense. Hope to see you all Sunday!

We often say here at Gazelle Sports that we believe movement can change your life. It's true on the treadmill, on the road, and yes- especially on the trail! There is something special about moving in natural spaces, and the challenge it brings.

In an effort to better connect with the trail, and the trail enthusiasts who use them, we're conducting a trail running and walking survey! Good morning, friends. We have updated the registration and waiver form for 2024. We need each Dirty Herd participant to complete this form before their first run with us each year. We also have a QR code you can scan to the fill this out when you arrive at Robinette's, too, but wanted to give you the option of completing this in the warmth of your home.

Robinette's trail update: spent a few hours out there yesterday cleaning up (the first half) and the trail was a mixed bag of wet dirt, slush, and snow. No idea how the overnight temps and rain changed (improved?) things, but I expect an interesting run today. As far as traction devices go, I would say that snowshoes are far too much, and plain trail shoes, unless they are SG lugs, will make for a long afternoon (don't even think about road shoes!). Find something in the middle, and plan on it not being perfect for the full loop.
