The City of Grand Rapids MN opened up the park by removing the old ramp. Unfortunately they mistakenly threw away all our stuff we had approved by them previously that we raised money to get or build. A picnic table, manual pad and our OC bench are in the garbage. Crazy as it sounds they are telling us we can get more stuff as long as its approved, sturdy and safe. We are asking them to match us money to get new stuff to replace what they threw out. In the meantime if anybody would like to build or donate ramps and stuff to skate we will take anything! Again as long as its safe, sturdy and approved by the city we can put it in the park immediately.

Appreciate one of the coaches coming and talking to our skaters. Kids were warned not to be in the park unless they want to skate with us and behave. End of story.

Does anyone have a time stamped video of the event that took place?
We are very disappointed with the Grand Rapids Lacrosse Team. Members of the team and kids at the practice came into the park and destroyed our piano. We had a really nice vibe there and they absolutely ruined it. Hitting it with their sitcks and taunting our skaters after doing it. The piano is not even playable now. Letting everyone know they are not allowed in our park anymore. Destruction of property is a crime. You guys have a whole field but decide to misbehave in our park. Very very shameful behavior. We will call the police next time.

Asking everyone to come today at 4 to 6 PM at Yanmar Arena tell the City of Grand Rapids MN a full park update to concrete is essential. Lights, shade, seating and other amenities we dont have and kids deserve. Skatepark grants we can't even apply for because the park doesn't have a proper sidewalk access. We have to work with the city and here is the best opportunity we are gonna get.
