Spring time means a lot more people outside playing Pickleball. AND the Kaite Davis Tournament! Some highlights for the tournament:

We are really excited for this year, as this will be our biggest year yet! Our club has been busy planning behind the scenes, so make sure to give a shout out to our awesome board members and volunteers who make this all happen.
On another note: there are lots of great tournaments locally and regionally. We have a few members who are up competing for a golden ticket to Nationals at the Sacramento tournament end of this month. There is also a Golden Ticket opportunity in San Jose. We have SOPAS Summer tournament, Roseburg, tournaments up in Bend and Sunriver, Founders tournament on Bainbridge Island, Washington. So, plan some fun trips with friends, visit areas you have not been, to experience the pickleball community. So many great players out there.
AND another note: USA Pickleball has partnered with Boys and Girls Club of America. BGCA in Grants Pass is a very active organization and has helped tremendously with our youth. Rogue Pickleball Club has contacted our BGCA to let them know to apply for a grant. Let's keep our fingers crossed if something comes of it.

As the year comes to an end, the Rogue Pickleball Club would like to say thank you for the continuous involvement and support. Many friendships have been developed year after year, and it is all because of YOU! We had a very successful year with our two signature tournaments. From raising money for scholarships, outings, gatherings at the courts, pick-up games, league play, and much more we have been having lots of fun. Your membership covers expenses for any necessary equipment or improvements at our main location at Reinhart Park “PicklePlex”. Most importantly it gives us a voice in our community to support a sport we all love. This is the time to renew your membership in the upcoming month, and we look forward to another successful year and evolving as a club.

Highlights of summer:
Kaite Davis Tournament with a record of the most participants (over 200) since its inception. It was a huge success in scholarships for local students.
Election of board members for the RPC - President, Linda Gray; Vice President, Jack Davis; Treasurer - Lisa Gragg and Cindy Wilson; Secretary - Stephanie Vest; Board Members - Tami and Gary Quinones, Nomeca Hartwell, Lisa Woodruff, Lani Nothwang, Janet Rumor
We had an amazing summer league with beginners/3.0/3.5 players and had a consistent show of people to fill a minimum of 3 courts to a maximum of six courts. They were all troopers in the heat. Snacks were provided to stay cool and Jack had his beautiful glass work for prizes. Cheers to some of our players who showed up every week: Ty, Cessa, Patty, Josefina and a few others who were regulars. THANK YOU!
National Pickleball Day on August 8th was a great success with pizza and goodies. And having the Co-founder locally for this awesome day makes it a great tradition.
And the latest and greatest news: Jack has lost 100lbs! His hard work and dedication of being on the courts EVERY DAY is a great tribute to staying healthy and how Pickleball is a great sport. Stay healthy and keep pickling Jack.
Fall league dates have been established to start week of September 15th. Make sure to go to Play Time Scheduler.
Fall Brawl is coming up. Sign up soon! This will be a very fun local event to support the club. Your fee goes directly to the club to help us with social events and maintenance of the courts.
With that to note: we will be adding new benches to the courts at Reinhart Park. We are also replacing the old practice backboard on the tennis court with a new one to have two lines, one for pickleball and one for tennis.

SUMMER LEAGUE 2025 - Our final week of Summer League 3.0-3.5.
We will have a great night tonight of almost 20 picklers. The more the merrier. We had an amazing turnout for all weeks, even during the heat wave. We thank all who came out and you can still come out tonight and Wednesday night. THANK YOU so much to all our members and for those who dropped in to play. Our club would not be the same without you all! Big Thank You to Jack Davis for taking the lead on your presence, music, prizes, and your wonderful dedication to the sport of Pickleball.
