9 TURNOUT STRETCHES FOR ALL LEVELS ✨ Stretches can be intimidating if you don’t know where to start. Here’s a few variations that work really well for beginners to the more advanced. No matter your level, it’s important to always start slowly. Even when I became very flexible, I would start slowly in any of my routines and build up from there. When you do passive exercises always make sure your muscles are engaged. I find the most effective way to stretch is when you are actively using your muscles with intention at the same time. I would even visualise the step I was trying to do as I would stretch such as a retiré or turned out développé to the side or grand plié.
