Before you hit the beach this summer… check your sunscreen. ☀️

Two FDA-funded JAMA studies found that oxybenzone, avobenzone, octocrylene, and homosalate absorb into your bloodstream after a single use and exceeded the FDA safety threshold on day one. Homosalate and oxybenzone were still above safe levels at day 21. A 2023 review of 254 studies linked oxybenzone to endocrine disruption at normal sunscreen doses.

My kids and I stopped using regular sunscreen over a year ago. What Dr. Clay Moss is saying is the exact reason why. In my opinion, skin cancers are on the rise because of all the chemical from the sunscreen. Plus our body needs that vitamin D3 that the sun gives.

I use the sunscreen that is completely natural and the link is below if you are interested in an alternative that does not have all the chemicals. We used it last year at the beach and it worked amazing! You can even make your own sunscreen with beef tallow!

But I encourage you to do the research about sunscreen and to think about an alternate route when it comes to natural sunscreens without all the chemicals.

Did you know that your body creates its own natural sunscreen by being in the sun 15 minutes a day?! Also certain foods like eating watermelon can also provide you a natural defense to sunburns. It’s pretty amazing how God made our body to do these things!

In 1960, obesity was 13%. Then experts told everyone to avoid the sun, eliminate salt, and eat low-fat foods. By 2024, obesity hit 42% and heart disease became the #1 killer.

Sunlight boosts immunity and extends life with zero cost. They marketed sunscreen as protection while packing it with hormone disruptors that block vitamin D.

Populations eating high-salt diets for centuries had low hypertension until processed food arrived. The real danger was never salt - it was sugar and seed oils.
