As you know, this year we decided to go a different route with the Battle for the Barrel shirt design and asked East and West High School’s Business Marketing classes to draft logo designs!

The stipulations were to design a shirt logo for the annual game on a neutral colored shirt that incorporates both school logos/mascots, the year and school colors.

Although we don’t completely detest the use of AI, we asked the students to refrain from using it to 100% complete this project; only being allowed to use it for some elements of the design. The idea is to learn how to do graphic design without prompting an AI model to do it for you. This worked for the most part, and we received some really good AI generated designs , but wanted to have the students learn to design as organic as possible. Therefore the finalists were narrowed down to those who met the conditions.

After counting the comment votes and the poll tallies, #3 is our winner!

We want to thank each student and staff from both schools that participated! We thought it would be a fun project that would allow the students and community to be involved!
