Now Accepting Applications for Shining Star Gift Recipients!The Shining Star Holiday Supplemental program provides an opportunity for community members to purchase gifts for local people who could use additional support during the holiday season.

We'll be accepting applications for support throughout the month of September. All completed applications will then be reviewed and the 2026 Shining Star recipients will be notified by mid-October.

FREE Community Supper tomorrow, August 31 - Shepard's Pie and Crisp Cucumber Salad, take out style! Stop by for curbside pick up beginning at 4:00 pm. Just let us know how many meals you need and our volunteers will take care of you.

Join Chef Susie Norris for evenings inspired by the harvest. Together we’ll prepare seasonal dishes from scratch, share a beautiful meal, and explore the ingredients, traditions, and techniques behind regional cuisines. Each class includes a culinary demonstration, hands-on cooking, a sit-down dinner, and recipes to take home.

We've got brand new youth dance opportunities coming up in September!

Intro to Modern Dance, Ages: 8–12
Learn the fundamentals of modern dance while developing coordination, musicality, alignment, strength, flexibility, and expressivity. Class includes floor, standing, and traveling exercises, with a focus on breath, momentum, technique, etiquette, and building confidence and new skills.

Toddler Irish Dance Class, Ages: 3–5
Toddlers explore Irish Dance through playful movement while developing coordination, balance, rhythm, strength, posture, social skills, and confidence. Instructor Deirdre Walger uses fun props, obstacle courses, musical instruments, and Irish dance music to keep little ones engaged and moving.

Intro to Ballet Class – Ages: 6-7 or Ages 8-12
Learn the fundamentals of ballet while developing coordination, musicality, alignment, strength, flexibility, and expressivity. Class includes stretching, strengthening, center work, jumps, and spotting exercises, with a focus on technique, etiquette, and building new skills.

📣 Special discount pricing on our September Lifeguarding Certification!! Berkshire South offers a blended certification program combining online coursework with onsite aquatics time. Participants earn certifications in Lifeguard Training, CPR, First Aid, and AED.

AND! Berkshire South is hiring lifeguards! Newly hired lifeguards will receive full reimbursement of their in-house BSRCC lifeguarding course fees (terms apply).
