Don't forget the next garage gym competition is coming up in May. This is a free virtual powerlifting event (with lots of randomly drawn prizes) that can take place in any garage gym. If there is enough interest and people needing a place to compete, we can host an open gym event for this.

The new swiss bar is indeed nice and smooth (not the grip though... That's far from smooth.

Starting off the new year with a new piece. cambered swiss bar is rackable and is able to attach to a cable. The grip and texture on this thing is gnarley!!!

What Is Static Monsters?

Static Monsters is a global strongman competition based around a maximum log press and maximum 18″ axle deadlift.

Athletes compete in the World Wide Qualifiers on a set weekend at a registered hosts gym to hit their max lifts.

The top 10 are then invited to compete at the World Championships held later in the year at a single location.

From amateur to professional, junior and adaptive, Static Monsters covers a classifications for you.

February 21, 2026 in Billings Montana is the local chance to compete. Full contest details available on iron podium.
