Fresh Off the Press!

June has kept us moving. Between meetings, the golf tournament, tours, events, and everything happening across Montana agriculture, the month got away from us.

Thank you for your patience and we hope you enjoy this month's issue.

A productive first day at the NBGA/AMBA Summer Meeting in Great Falls.

Attendees heard updates and perspectives from industry leaders, engaged in meaningful discussions, and connected with colleagues from across the country. Thank you to our speakers for sharing their time, expertise, and insight with attendees throughout the day.

The conversations continued this evening over dinner, providing another opportunity to connect and share ideas. We’ll see everyone tomorrow for board meetings and tours.

The National Barley Growers Association Summer Board Meeting kicked off this morning in Great Falls, Montana.

Over the next two days, barley leaders from across the country will come together to discuss industry priorities, share updates, and collaborate on issues impacting producers nationwide. This year’s meeting also includes joint discussions with the American Malting Barley Association, bringing together producers and industry partners from across the barley value chain.

MGGA is proud to welcome attendees to Montana and looks forward to the conversations ahead.

Last week, following our Summer Board Meeting in Great Falls, the Montana Grain Growers Association hosted a Legislative Roundtable that brought together producers, legislators, and industry partners for a meaningful discussion on issues impacting Montana agriculture.

Topics included railroad challenges, wildlife management, and state sales tax proposals. The roundtable provided an opportunity for producers to share their perspectives directly with policymakers and engage in constructive conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing Montana agriculture.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend, participate, and share your insights. Your engagement helps ensure that the voices of Montana producers are heard and considered in the policymaking process.

Bringing producers and policymakers together is an important part of our mission to improve the lives of Montana producers through collaboration, innovation, and influencing agricultural policy. We appreciate your partnership and look forward to continuing these important conversations.
