Crazy last week for us.
Someone broke into Bridgeport Hobby through our AC unit and took over $50,000 worth of cards, wax, computers and inventory in a matter of minutes.
We had bolted doors, shutters, alarms, cameras. All the stuff you think is supposed to protect you. Never in a million years did I think someone would come through the AC unit.
came out and covered what happened today.
A lot of people have asked how they can help. We do have a GoFundMe up and any donations are seriously appreciated, but never expected. Link is in our bio.
The money is going directly back into protecting the shop. Better security system, steel doors, armed security and making sure there isn’t another weak point like this again.
And if there is anything left over, it will go to helping other small businesses in Bridgeport with their security. I don’t want to see another shop or business go through this.
At the end of the day we’re still here. We’re still open. And we’re not going anywhere. opening in September!
Thank you to everyone who has checked in, shared the story, donated or just stopped by the shop.
Means more than you guys know.
Love you guys.
