Sharktooth has the lowest elevation of any ski area that ever
operated in Colorado. It opened on a small hill outside of Greeley,
Colorado and did not have to worry about common ski area problems
like avalanches! The area offered night skiing during its operation and
dust storms were just as common as snowstorms!

Hoedown Hill, carrying on the the Sharktooth tradition of bringing snow fun to the Greeley-Loveland-Ft Collins area.
Looks like they are getting close to opening, hopefully before Christmas.
I hear they may even have a limited amount of Hot Dr Pepper😀

When there was fresh snow a line would form on the top of the hill. Everyone waiting in line to ride down the tube run!
Tubing Supervisor's job was to make sure no one got hurt, or at least attempted to reduce the number of injuries!

Two more photos of the Ice rink. 1982. You can see all the back boards are up and painted. Each night after closing, one of us would spend an hour with a hose, slowly putting down another layer of ice. In the morning the surface was smooth and ready for skating without the need for a Zamboni :)
