Not all of the truly outstanding contributions to Greeley/Greeley Central High’s athletic history belong to just ‘Cats teams, players, and coaches. Some have been made by incredibly dedicated and talented people who have supported Wildcat athletics in other ways. Tonight’s final 2025 inductee never wore the orange and black, but his contributions to the legacy of Wildcat athletics merit recognition and appreciation.

This notable Greeleyite worked tirelessly for 25-years to share details about and tell the stories of all Wildcat athletic teams, their players, coaches, and supporters. In a time before the internet, computers, or television coverage of high school sports, he did his job so well that people in Greeley came to rely on his accounts to stay connected to GHS athletics. 📸📝

Today's highlight from the HOF class of 2023 (GHS class of 1956) is Larry Hoffner.

Larry Hoffner is perhaps one of the most physically-gifted Wildcat basketball players ever. He was All-Northern Conference and All-State in both basketball and football during his high school career.
