Today, we are thrilled to shine a light on an extraordinary member of our Dayspring community: Abby Casey! 🎉
Abby is not just a leader; she’s a powerhouse! As this year’s Co-President of Student Leadership, she has inspired her peers while balancing her roles as a star athlete on the varsity Volleyball and Track teams. Additionally, Abby was a founding member of the Dayspring Pom team and represents our National Honor Society with pride. With multiple letters in Drama, Volleyball, Track, Poms, and Academics, she embodies what it means to be a well-rounded student. 📚🏐🎭
Consistently making the Honor Roll, Abby is excited to take the next step in her academic journey with an academic scholarship to California Baptist University, where she plans to major in Health Science with a focus on Pre-Med. 💙
When reflecting on her high school journey, Abby's advice to her younger self is simple yet profound: “Don't take yourself too seriously and always be genuine with those around you.” Her favorite Bible verse, Hebrews 11:13-16, reminds us all to seek a better homeland and to hold on to our faith. 🙏
One of Abby’s most cherished memories is from the senior mission trip to the Dominican Republic and homecoming this year! 🌍💕
A special shoutout to Mrs. Roberts, who has had the greatest impact on Abby, mentoring her both academically and spiritually. Thank you for all that you do!

🌟Senior Spotlight🌟 Congratulations to DCA Pom Ximena Alderete! Mena has grown so much as a Pom this year and it has been a blessing to have her on the team! 💕 We cannot wait to see what is in store for Mena next!
🌟🎓Today, we’re thrilled to honor the remarkable journey of Ximena Alderete! 🎉
During her time at Dayspring, Mena was a force to be reckoned with—she played volleyball her freshman year, helped launch the inaugural Dayspring Pom team, and dedicated three years to the tennis court. Not only did she make the Honor Roll, but she also served as an NHS officer for the past two years! 🎉
Her hard work has been recognized with the President's Scholarship of $18,000 and a $2,000 Travel Scholarship! After graduation, Mena plans to attend Colorado Christian University, where she will pursue a Bachelor’s in Biology, setting her sights on a career in the medical field. 🩺💉
One of her favorite high school memories comes from the senior trip, where she and her friends hilariously navigated a sea urchin mishap—Mena ended up with 12 spines in her foot! It’s a story that guarantees laughs every time she shares it.
Mena’s advice to her younger self? “It doesn't matter what everyone else thinks or does, as long as you try your best in everything that you do.” 💗
Her favorite Bible verse, Colossians 3:23-24, beautifully encapsulates her approach to life: “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
Mena credits Mr. Goffeney as the teacher who significantly influenced her. “He has deepened my interest in the medical field and has shown God's love and wisdom to all of his students through his teachings.”

🎉🎓 Whoo Hoo! Just 10 days until graduation! 🎓🎉 This week marks the final week of school for our amazing seniors!
Today, we’re shining a light on the incredible Matise Lujan! 🌟 Throughout her high school journey, Matise has made a significant impact as a dedicated member of Dayspring’s women’s varsity volleyball team, earning the prestigious Eagle Award this year. 🦅🏐
Her academic achievements are just as impressive! A high honor roll student and active member of the National Honor Society, Matise reached new heights by being a top ten finalist and even snagging first place in the Nutrien and Poudre Learning Center’s “Caring for Our Watersheds” project. 💧📚
This year, she took on the exciting role of an inaugural member of the Dayspring Pom team – talk about versatility! After graduation, Matise plans to attend AIMS Community College to pursue her dreams in Dental Hygiene at LCCC in Wyoming or FRCC in Fort Collins. 🎓✨
Her words of wisdom to her younger self? “Keep a growth mindset because your whole life you will have to be learning something new.” 💡 Matise also carries her faith close to her heart, finding strength in Psalm 121:1-2: “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
One of her favorite memories from high school is the senior mission trip to the Dominican Republic, where she witnessed the amazing work of God in action: “Seeing how driven other countries are for Him was incomparable!” 🙏🌍
Matise credits Mrs. Thimgan for her positive impact, saying, “She truly cares for the well-being of each of us and strives to influence us in a way that matters as we enter the real world.” ❤️

Throughout her high school journey, Danae has truly made her mark in numerous ways. She’s been a dedicated member of the volleyball team for three years and has also excelled in track and field for the same duration. In addition to her athletic achievements, Danae was a member of the Student Leadership and National Honor Society and served as the Vice President of NHS during her junior year, showcasing her leadership skills. As an inaugural member of Daypring's Pom Team, she has also contributed to the school's spirit and community. Furthermore, Danae has made a name for herself in tennis, earning all-conference recognition in her freshman and sophomore years and becoming a tournament champion in her junior year. Her efforts have not gone unnoticed, as she received the prestigious Lead Award in her junior year. We couldn’t be prouder of Danae and all her accomplishments! 🌟🏅
After graduation, Danae is set to pursue her passion for healthcare by taking EMT courses, followed by attending Grand Canyon University to major in nursing. 💉✨
One of her most cherished memories from high school? The senior mission trip, where she connected with fellow believers and witnessed their unwavering love for God, even in tough circumstances. ❤️
If she could offer a piece of advice to her younger self, it would be to “find a study habit early and stick to it.” 📚
Danae's favorite Bible verse is 1 Peter 3:15: "But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect."

As a dedicated member of her studio's performance and competition dance teams, an inaugural member and dance captain of the Dayspring Pom team, and the secretary of the National Honor Society during her senior year, Hannah embodies true leadership and talent. Not to mention, she has consistently made the High Honor Roll! 📚✨
Hannah has shared some unforgettable memories with us, including that hilarious cake fight on the mission trip to the Dominican Republic and an exciting overnight trip to Sanford to cheer on the football team in their playoff game! 🍰❤️
Her wise words to herself? “Your grades do not define your worth.” What an empowering reminder! 💪 Hannah also finds inspiration in her favorite Bible verse: “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalm 73:26)
Mrs. Roberts has been a guiding light in Hannah’s high school journey.
