Too Many Boats River Adventures
Your next adventure is right in your back yard.
Selling off kayaks, paddles, life jackets and trailer.
After much thought, this will be our last year in business.
The self serve kayak rental kiosks are popping up everywhere at the clear water spots, and we simply can't compete.
And there just isn't enough interest in the swamp tours to continue the business.
That being said, we will continue to operate until Sept 1, when any gift certificates already issued will expire.
Sept 1 will be going out of business sale, just in time for duck hunters needing cheap kayaks.
Thank you for all the memories, you've still got 2 months to book a trip.

So if you notice, scrolling though all the pictures, all the kayak paddles have bits of foam in the middle.
Why is that?
Well....you don't need any experience to come paddle with us. And sometimes, new people drop things. Or fall out.
And even though we use kind of expensive super comfortable paddles, in the event of a tip over, priority #1 is getting you back upright and out of the water. Finding your paddle comes second.
And having a pool noodle chunk in the middle not only makes them easier to locate AFTER rescuing you, our valued customer, but also keeps it from sinking too quickly. Fiberglass or aluminum and plastic aren't exactly buoyant. Once the air bubble leaks out from the shaft? They sink. But a half foot of pool noodle keeps them at the surface for a long, long time.
Those of you who follow to see the fun, and have your own boats, feel free to use this tip on your own adventures.
A small piece of a $3 pool noodle might save your $60 (or more) paddle. Well worth it!

Today's adventure!
Put in at the delta, went out to the nature area. Not as many critters as I'd hoped, but plenty of birds.
Pictures came out blurry for some reason.

We have brochures and gift certificates now!
Thank you Joan Lindahl, you do amazing work!
Just to keep the page (and myself) active during the winter,
And just for fun
And because a few of our boats have more or less flat plastic bottoms
Stay tuned for a video of downhill sledding in a kayak!
(Just once for fun, not something we are booking trips for...don't try this at home, kids! And yes, we are still very much closed for winter)
