MOST of the things we fear about getting older have to do with loss.

- Loss of mobility.

- Loss of independence.

- Loss of freedom.

- Loss of mental/cognitive clarity.

Sure, you won't be as strong at 75 as you were when you were 25 (and you'll have some wrinkles from the journey), but you don't have to be afraid.

You can start putting "money in the bank," metaphorically speaking, TODAY!

Build and maintain muscle! It'll keep you independent, confident, and your mind sharp.

Build cardiovascular fitness! It'll keep your heart beating when the leading cause of death in the US and Europe is heart disease.

You don’t need more intensity.
You need the right stimulus.

A little more muscle goes a long way—physically, mentally, and long-term.

A small increase in muscle leads to better posture, better movement, better confidence—and usually a lot more “I didn’t expect this” moments.

That’s the power of doing the right things consistently.

Small changes --> Big returns.

What scares you the most when you think about getting older?

For most people, it boils down to one thing: the loss of freedom.

The inability to say yes to things they want to do, but no longer have the physical confidence to participate in.

The loss of opportunities to create a broad spectrum of core memories with the people they love.

The fear of fading into the background because they can’t participate in life the way they want to.

Muscle mass is the key to physical freedom as we age. It’s what allows us to interact with the world on our terms.

It’s the key to maintaining physical confidence across the lifespan.

Let’s get to work.

If you want to feel young despite getting older, you must do things the elderly avoid.

- Stay active
- Lift heavy (you don’t need to PR, but you DO need to challenge yourself regularly
- Sprint
- Dance
- Climb
- Play

And if you want to do these things, you NEED to build muscle mass.

Muscle mass is the gateway to an independent and vibrant life regardless of age.

Get strong. Stay strong. Hold back the effects of time on your body.
