Happy Monday from yours truly; Peak Performance, LLC!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 As a friendly & healthy reminder, this is the beginning to Mental Illness Awareness Week with October 10th being World Mental Health Day! October is not only recognized for Mental Health Awareness but it’s also National Bullying Prevention & Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With that being said, the Peak urges you to become an advocate as well as a guiding hand. Promote & showcase your ability to be open-minded, open-hearted❤️, with a nonjudgmental approach. Don’t be afraid to get in the game & assist in any way possible. Although each topic may personally resonate in a deeper sense for so many, they’re all equally as important in your community. As your🫵🏾health & fitness guide, remember to love yourself, your neighbor & be very cognizant to the understanding that what makes you worth it, is your humanity. ☀️😃Good morning!!! Happy Monday, September 30th from Peak Performance, LLC!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾Today we are back at it with some mind over matter motivation to raise you up for a great week ahead!! Let’s begin the day with one of my favorite terms in the amazing Health & Fitness world; the P.R. (Personal Record). Your P.R. has a multitude of meanings when it comes to your achievements, goals & overall success on your fitness journey. It expands even further into every aspect of your consistency, keeping you well rounded, super motivated thus creating a self-ladder of positive gains & crushing any plateaus. For instance, you may want to lift a certain amount of weight, perform a number of repetitions in a particular exercise, test your cardiovascular endurance while increasing your ability to breathe easier through a vigorous routine. The list goes on and on! Whatever it may be, the important thing to understand is that your P.R. is about you🫵🏾& your progress no matter your level of fitness. Remember to have awareness, be safe & seek guidance if needed. Lastly, being competitive with each other has its benefits as well as drawbacks; however, defeating the person in the mirror builds greatness over & over again with no faults!! Keep up the grind!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾❤️

☀️😃Good morning!!! Happy Monday, September 16th from Peak Performance, LLC!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 As you awake to another beautiful day, let your mind feast on the idea of the Peak B.E.L.I. E.F. System❤️🤩! The idea revolves around a gravitational pull to what makes you stronger, just like iron sharpens iron🏋🏾. This System starts with daily preparation & your ability to hone in on what sharpens you!🫵🏾 There is no special technique, magic pill or doctrine created to follow this System. As a matter of fact it’s a one size fits all method to extracting & giving yourself the best opportunities to enhance your day to day living! The coolest part is everyone gets the same 24 hours & it’s how you use the time that increases its effectiveness. All you need to have is B.E.L.I.E.F. ( Balance, Evolution, Limitless, Improvement, Edification, Fearless )!! September is Self-Improvement month & the Peak B.E.L.I.E.F. System has not only benefited so many in regard to a healthy lifestyle but it has been proven with no side effects!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾❤️

☀️😃Good morning!!! Happy Motivation Monday from yours truly; Peak Performance, LLC!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 Time to add some power to your hour with a great SUPER SET! In the last video tutorial, the legs were on a full rest but now they get their chance to get put to the test with an intense upper body & core routine!🏋🏾 Let’s explore the greatness of front squats while building the upper body with body weight overhead lat pullovers, finishing up with step back lunges to keep those legs fired up🔥!!! Step 1: Front squats. I’m using weighted plates on the ground for precise measuring. There are a few different holding techniques for the front squats. It all depends on your comfortability level, strength, balance as well as experience. In this tutorial I’m using a cross-arm grip. Lift the bar & set your feet touching perfectly between the weighted plates. This means you are stationed evenly & in great position🙌🏾. Pay close attention to the form as you inhale at the bottom, exhaling at the top the exercise. Squeeze your glutes & abdominals for maximum effort. Front squats will power your quads, hamstrings & create all around sturdiness to your upper & lower torso. Step 2: Body weight overhead lat pullovers. Unlike lay down overhead dumbbell lat pullovers or sitting overhead lat pullovers, body weight overhead lat pullovers demand much more force from your lats, chest, abs, triceps & deltoids. Not to mention balance as well as forearm & wrist muscularity considering you are using your entire frame! For testing purposes I’m doing 1 rep to make sure I’m perfectly centered then adjusting to prepare for a full set. Here we go!😄 I love using the heavy chain for this exercise because of the durability & grip (gloves are preferred for extra grab). On to the last phase: Step back Lunges with the weighted plates from step 1. Remember to choose your weighted plates carefully in the beginning. They previously assisted you in proper alignment for front squats but now they are tools to finish the job! As always, be safe & practice open-mindedness for all routines! Carl Jung said it best, “The first half of life is devoted to creating a healthy ego, the second half is going inward & letting go of it.” In translation to your strengths; find the progression that works for you, use your best judgment, never compare & become the absolute best version of yourself through inner discovery. After all, only you can stop you!! So have fun & keep moving forward!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾❤️

Just like September is known as the beginning of the harvest months, let yourself be known as the seed that was planted, uprooted & grew from rich soil!! Happy Monday, August 5th from Peak Performance, LLC!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 Speaking of performance, there were so many great achievements, stories of goal setting & revelations of health & fitness! Great way to start off August with some poetry in motion. Fitness is like riding a bike, no pun intended😊. You never forget the importance, the benefits, what it does for you as well as others who seek a similar road. Putting yourself through challenge after challenge never gets old. Especially when you have formed a bond of understanding your strengths & how far you can take your body. What you hold in your heart❤️alerts your mind of the next task & the power of your mind tells your body to get moving! I don’t believe in coincidence & I’m sure that’s different for many. The point is health & fitness is something to hold dear no matter your background & it’s something that unites us all. Let’s kick off the the week by giving Keith a round of applause!👏🏾👏🏾As a Veteran Firefighter, Keith has not only saved many lives but also appreciates the mix of challenges here at the Peak! With the workout today, he has upped his game & has burned a monstrous 1,008 calories in 58:36.9 minutes! Considering the sessions are 60 minutes, this is dynamic & record breaking for him! Keep being a warrior in the gym & our community Keith!! The Peak is always ready, here & alive!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾❤️

August is known as a month for new beginnings, capitalizing on great ideas, enhancing your health & fitness for seasonal change as well as mindful energy practices. It is already known that time waits for no one & what we do with our time is a key component to day to day living. This could potentially mean viewing time as your ally, making the best opportunities for growth & looking at things outside of the box for your overall well-being. Now, the above question to yourself is an open playing field to finding your answer!! Time to get after it!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾❤️

That in itself is amazing!🌕 To be a hero means there is someone who looks to you for inspiration, guidance, will power, the accessibility & freedom to make a difference. Don’t for one second take your foot off the pedal & forget about the next generations to come! In my last post I discussed your inner child & how important that is to your well-being. Now take that up a notch & imagine how important you are to whom follows. This is no different from the art of health & fitness.
