HOW TO LOSE FAT!
The key is CALORIE DEFICIT 💥
Caloric deficit is any shortage in the amount of calories consumed relative to the amount of calories required for maintenance of current body weight (energy homeostasis).
A deficit can be created by reducing input/calories consumed (lower food intake, aka dieting). A deficit can also be created by increasing output without a corresponding increase in input. Increased output is created by increasing physical activity, from increased caloric requirements necessary to heal an injury,[citation needed] or from growth.
There are also some substances, including Caffeine, which can create a small (3-5%) increase in caloric expenditure, via a variety of pathways that include increasing physical activity levels and increasing
Thermogenesis (heat output), and/or by reducing caloric input via appetite suppression. Drugs and herbal treatments creating a more extreme metabolic effect exist.

You see carbohydrates are essential to the human body, so are protein and fats. Carbohydrates in the form of wholefoods like whole-grains, fruits, vegetables and legumes are some of the healthiest foods on the planet 🌱 ⠀

If your diet consists mostly of those kind of carb sources then it's actually quite difficult to gain weight since they're so high in fiber which makes them very filling and difficult to over-eat 😉 ⠀

Whereas processed junkfood such as pizza, donuts and cookies aren't just high in carbs, they're also super high in fat! Fat is 9kcal per gram making it little over double the amount of calories per gram Vs carbs and protein (4kcal per gram) 🤯 ⠀

The fact is if you eat these foods you are eating a high carb, high fat, low fiber, low nutrient food which not only is easy to over-eat but also causes a spike in blood sugar levels and doesn't keep you full 😊 ⠀

In my opinion prioritize the wholefoods as much as you can, for 80-90% of your daily calories and leave those extra 10-20% to come from more processed foods 🙏🏼⠀
