"Progress is not linear."

Everyone can have bad workouts and disappointing performances, even Olympians. One way to show yourself self-compassion in sport is to understand and accept that everyone has challenges and makes mistakes. There's no need to beat yourself up, in fact, that's probably pretty unhelpful. Instead, acknowledge the moment and feelings for what they are and decide what small step you can take next.

So often how we view or assess a situation determines what comes next. Injury can be a major set back and seen as something happening to us vs an opportunity to build back and continue doing something you love https://fb.watch/whVric1QYj/

Tis the season for gratitude. Gratitude can help improve sport performance by enhancing team cohesion, preventing burnout, and building mental toughness.
Use this tool to create a new habit or add some sport specific things to be grateful for.

Heard Snoop say this to one of the contestants on The Voice and he's right. Take care of the things you can control that will help you perform your best.

“One small crack does not mean you are broken. It means you were put to the test and didn’t fall apart.”
-Linda Poindexter

It’s World Mental Health day, and a good reminder that it’s ok if you’ve got some cracks in your heart or your head that need to heal.

Right now I’m on the other side of a year of living with my heart and soul on my sleeve, and healing all the little cracks in it in front of the world. It was hard, finding recovery from my eating disorder. It still is, some days. But it’s been worth it. ❤️‍🩹

And if I can get to the other side in one piece, you can, too. However long it takes, it’s worth fighting for your mental health. Even if you have to do it again, and again.

Sometimes letting yourself feel everything can be incredibly painful. I know there were times when I would have rather just let myself be numb, but finding the courage to process what was going on inside my head was the only way to truly heal and move forward.

I have also been thinking a lot about the incredible people surrounding me. You’ve helped take care of me, you’ve waited for me while I figured things out and didn’t push me away. You have loved me completely and unconditionally. And you’ve given me all the hugs when I needed them most. ❤️

You know who you are, and I have so much gratitude for each and every one of you! Support teams have perhaps been the most important part of healing my mental health and I wouldn’t be who I am today without mine.

Those who know me, know skiing is near and dear to my heart. Check out Jessie Diggins's story about her own mental health on World Mental Health Day. Getting honest with ourselves, being vulnerable and asking for support can be so challenging AND can change everything!

One of the ways to build our own confidence is to lean in to the belief others have in us 💚💛💚

A Message for Green Bay | By Aaron Jones It’s going to feel strange being on that visiting sideline for the first time ... but it’s ALL love, and it's so much gratitude.
