Green Bay YMCA Gymnastics

Our Pre-Team, Level 2 and 6 gymnasts raised enough money for our annual campaign to earn themselves a midnight lock-in!! They had tons of fun getting to know one another and play games together. Huge congrats to their efforts!

Meet the Coach Monday! Up first: Coach Abby! She will be coaching level 4, 5, 7 and 8.

“Hi! I’m Abby and I have been coaching gymnastics for 8 years! I grew up on the YMCA gymnastics team and found my love my for coaching as I gradtuated high school. I love coaching gymnastics because it allows me to empower young athletes to develop confidence, resilience, and strength through challenges!”

Alumni Feature Friday: Ella

“Hey! I’m Ella and I am currently a student at UW-Madison. I am on the path of getting a nursing degree, then to become a labor and delivery nurse. I love to go for runs outside and go for walks. I like to spend my free time hanging out with friends!”

Q: What is one thing that being a Gymstar taught you?
A: “Being a Gymstar taught me how to balance a school/gym lifestyle. I struggled a bit starting high school and wanting to do everything but as I grew up I settled my priorities and I scheduled my time out.”

Q: What advice would you give to a younger gymnast?
A: “My advice to all of the younger gymnasts would be to make friends and hang out with them outside of the gym. These are some of the strongest friendships you will build!!”
