🇨🇦🇨🇦Another year, another amazing adventure! The 2026 Hunter’s Edge Ontario Bear Hunt did not disappoint! From fishing and four-wheeling to brat frys and blueberries, we did it ALL! Taking a bunch of bears was a bonus, but the time spent with friends and family always makes the trip. Here’s a dump of a what 15 days in the Canadian bush looks like! 🇨🇦🇨🇦

With light fading on the last night, Uncle Matthew List added one more trophy to an already successful hunt. The 9th inning success made for a late night of recovery, processing, and celebration, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Another great memory to cherish. Another great night in the bear woods. Most of the crew saw multiple bears and Brayden Frisque was able to put down this beautiful Canadian black bear! The recovery was shared with a bunch of the crew at camp, adding to the memories this hunt provides. Great job Brayden!

After the lightning and thunder finally stopped, the bears were on the move. Blue Steel Brad Day was able to use his #1 pick to take down this beautiful Ontario black bear on the same stand that Emilie Heath- Day harvested her bear on earlier in the week. Congratulations Brad on bear #13. Keep on smiling!

🇨🇦🇨🇦FIRST BEAR🇨🇦🇨🇦
After years of helping us out at camp with all things bear hunting, our friend from north of the border Don Heerema got himself in the treestand and made quick work of his first black bear! Donnie was able to share the recovery with his kids, adding another memory to last a lifetime. We are so proud of the friendship we have forged with Don, Jakob, Serena, and Shelley.

Another year, another BIG BEAR! With most of the crew still heading their way up, Emilie Heath- Day wasted no time filling her Ontario bear tag with her 4th and biggest bear! An achievement most could only dream of, Emilie got to share her harvest with her husband, father, and an amazing group of great friends! Well done Em, enjoy your week ahead!

🇨🇦🇨🇦It’s that time of year again! The Hunter’s Edge team is making their way to Canada for the annual DIY HEAT Ontario bear hunt! Carter Schmeling had to come up a few days early to get to college next week and made good use of his time! On his second night with father Karl Schmeling on camera, Carter laid down this beautiful Canadian bruin! Congratulations Carter, and good luck in school this fall!
