We separated for 4 months in 2017-18, and God has rewritten our story

He has used the mistakes and sins of our past (my affairs + more) to sculpt a "true love"-filled marriage

This true love isn't a feeling, although we feel it

It's not an emotion, although it is

It's not infatuation, although I'm infatuated

It's commitment

It's covenant

It's choice

Like the love God has toward His people who continue to walk away from him in their slip ups and struggles

They say a lasting marriage doesn't happen by accident

Our marriage exists to encourage others (and our kids) that marriage (and life) is sloppy, messy, and you will get hurt AND hurt others

That's life

Once it happens, will you remain in your covenant, as God does with you?

Here's to 9 years, baby! This year has included loss of job (after 5.5 years), the entrance of family member number 4 (Jedi - shortly after I was let go), and stepping into self-employment x2 😬
