Walking is a great way to get exercise and Greendale is a very walkable community! Kudos to these collaborations for making things a little safer!

October is Pedestrian Safety Month in Greendale!

The Village of Greendale is proud to recognize October 2026 as Pedestrian Safety Month. Safe, walkable communities make it easier for people to get around, connect with neighbors, and enjoy all that Greendale has to offer.

Pedestrian safety is a shared responsibility. Whether you’re driving, walking, biking, or riding an e-bike or e-scooter, we all have a role to play by following the rules of the road, staying alert, and looking out for one another.

We’re also grateful to AARP Livable Communities for supporting our recent crosswalk project and helping create safer, more visible crossings in our community.

Let’s Walk Well, Greendale 💚
