🏆 HALLOWEEN CLASSIC CHAMPIONS! 🏆 🎃⚾🖤💛

Our 12U Travel Baseball team closed the fall the right way — 5-0 at the USSSA Halloween Classic, with four of the five wins by run rule, including all three on bracket Sunday.

The run:
W 9-5 over Madison Mudcats
W 19-3 over Canes Midwest Versailles 12U Gold
W 12-3 over Select Athletics Day
W 9-1 over United Hoosiers
W 14-5 over Jr Stars — Championship

Sunday was a clinic. In the quarterfinal, the boys batted around twice — Eli C’s two-run single in the first, then a six-run third keyed by Ben S’s two-run sacrifice bunt and an RBI double from Adin G. Easton B earned the win, Ricky M threw a scoreless inning in relief, and the team stole 17 bases.

The semifinal belonged to Max D, who went 2-for-2 with a two-run double and then threw three innings with five strikeouts. A six-run fourth blew it open — Easton, Adin, Ricky, Kamden P (two-run double), and Sammy A (RBI triple) all drove in runs.

And the championship? The boys spotted Jr Stars a 4-0 lead in the first and then answered with nine runs in the second — the biggest swing being Sammy A’s three-run home run to center field. Sammy finished with five RBI on two hits, adding a two-run double in the fourth. Max D, Sammy, and Eli C each had two hits, and the lineup worked nine walks while swiping 15 bags.

The fall, all told:
📊 13-5 overall — and 13-2 in Single A
🏆 Three Single A tournaments, three championship game appearances, two titles
🥈 Runner-up in the third
⚾ Plus a weekend playing up in AA at Fall State

Every single one of these boys got better, and it showed in October.

Enjoy No Throw November, fellas. You earned every bit of it. See you at Winter Workouts. ⚾

WITCHES BREW — FALL FINALE 🎃🥎🖤💛

Our 12U Travel Softball team closed the fall at Blue River Memorial Park, and Saturday morning produced the game of the season.

Saturday: W 1-0 over Roctown Athletics. A genuine pitcher’s duel, and Kalani W ended it with a solo inside-the-park home run in the bottom of the third — the only run scored by either team all game. Logan K was outstanding in the circle: four innings, two hits, no runs, six strikeouts. Elizabeth J, Lena H, Ellie F, Kalani, and Azailia M all had hits, and the girls turned a double play behind her. That is as complete a team win as you’ll see.

Saturday: T 7-7 with Midwest Astros Hunter. The girls erupted for six runs in the second inning, highlighted by Charlotte H’s three-run single, to take a 7-2 lead. The Astros fought back with five in the third and neither team could break through again. Norah L went 2-for-2, and Charlotte, Abbi L, Kalani, and Ruth W each drove in a run.

Sunday: L 10-2 to KSA Bombers. The girls tied it up in the second on back-to-back steals of home — about as fun as it gets — before KSA pulled away. Norah L was perfect again at 2-for-2, and the defense played a clean game with zero errors.

Sunday: L 4-3 to Rage. One of the better games of the weekend. Our girls went back in front in the third, Rage answered to tie it, and one run ended up being the difference. Ellie F went nearly four innings with six strikeouts. Ellie, Charlotte, Logan K, and Norah each drove in a run, and the team swiped seven bags.

Four games in two days, a shutout win, a tie, and a one-run loss. Norah L finished the weekend with three multi-hit performances. This group has come a long way since August.

That’s a wrap on the fall. Rest up, ladies — Winter Workouts are coming!

SUNDAY ALLIANCE — FALL SEASON FINALE 🥎🖤💛

Our 12U Alliance girls closed out the fall at The Table Church, and while the scoreboard didn’t go our way, game two showed exactly how far this group has come.

Game one against the Whiteland Warriors got away early in a 16-4 final. The bright spots were real though — Emma N was perfect at the plate, 2-for-2, Ellie O drove in a run, and the lineup worked six walks. The girls were relentless on the bases with 13 steals, and they played error-free ball in the field. Estella H, Emma, Presley K, Adrianne D, and Charlotte M all swiped multiple bags.

Game two against Skiles Test is the one to remember. The girls jumped out 3-0 in the first, gave the lead back, and then took it right back in the second — Brielle M singled up the middle to start it, and Emma N, Ellie O, and Presley K all worked walks that brought runs home to make it 7-4. Skiles Test pushed across six in the fourth to pull away, 12-7, but our girls went toe to toe with a strong team for three and a half innings. Emma N led the way with two RBI, and the lineup drew 11 walks — Estella, Adrianne, and Charlotte each worked two.

Look at where this team started in August and look at today. They take better at-bats, they’re disciplined at the plate, and they play clean defense. That’s growth you can’t see in a box score.

Proud of you, ladies. Enjoy the break — see you at Winter Workouts!

RUNNER-UP AT THE USSSA FALL BRAWL 🥈⚾🖤💛

What a Sunday for our 12U Travel Baseball team.

Pool play Saturday was a split — a rough one against MBC Aces, then a bounce-back 12-1 win over Indiana Hype Black to set up bracket play.

Sunday is when it got fun.

Quarterfinal: 14-6 over Indiana Falcons Green. Never really in doubt. Sammy A went 2-for-3 with three RBI and an inside-the-park home run (video below), Bo S added two hits, and Max D set the tone on the mound — two innings, no hits, no runs, five strikeouts. Ricky M and Adin G followed him, and the boys ran wild on the bases with 15 steals.

Semifinal: 12-11 over the GC Hawks, the tournament’s #1 seed. This one was a heavyweight fight. We led, they took it, we tied it, they took it again. Down 8-7 heading to the fifth, the boys put up a five-spot — and Maddox C cleared the bases with a double down the left field line to put us up for good (video below). Maddox finished with four RBI on two hits. Adin G added two hits of his own, and the lineup worked nine walks and stole 13 bases.

Championship: 11-9 to the Snow Cones. We dug ourselves an eight-run hole and very nearly climbed all the way out of it. Sammy A hit TWO inside-the-park home runs, including a two-run shot in a six-run sixth that had us one swing from tying it (video below). Bo S drove in two more in that same rally. Nineteen stolen bases as a team — seven different players swiped multiple bags.

Three games Sunday, a win over the top seed, and a trophy. We left some runs on the field and we know it. But this group keeps proving they belong with anybody.

Proud of you, boys. Enjoy the break — you earned it. ⚾
