Lake Cities XC
n Lake Cities XC is a 'not for profit' distance training and development program for youth athletes in 3rd through 8th grades, regardless of ability.
We compete locally, regionally and nationally throughout the year. Lake Cities XC is not an elite or select program, however we do attract talented athletes and we do develop athletes with little or no experience into distance runners that attain elite times based on their age. As a result of the above, Lake Cities XC prepares youth distance runners for a successful high school cross country exper
Lake Cities XC is a running team that competes locally in the DFW market and is located in Highland Village, Texas. If you have youth athletes in the 7 thru 14 age group come join Lake Cities. Being able to run well is a skill needed in most every sport.
We are gearing up to compete in a number of cross country meets this fall, with all our training and work geared to continuous improvement throughout the year. In December, we'll be in Tallahassee, Florida and the AAU XC National Championships being held on the Florida State University home course.
We don't just run. We also teach our runners how to take care of themselves thru nutrition, hydration, body maintenance, recovery runs, rolling, getting better sleep, cross training, teamwork, race strategy and more.
Our runners have been very successful at both the team and individual level. Lake Cities has produced two national championship teams and 25 teams that have finished in the top five nationally. We've also produced nearly 75 Junior Olympic XC and Track & Field All-Americans.
The friendships that Lake Cities XC have spawned are incredible. Coming to practices and watching runners working hard and working together to achieve success as a team is a great experience to be a part of.
We take new runners on throughout the year. We're getting ready to take on a whole new experience this fall. All sports are having to adjust to Covid-19. We will continue to take all precautions necessary to keep our runners and families healthy. We will safe distance during practices. So come check us out! We practice Monday thru Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 8:00 a.m.
Call me (Coach Lutz) anytime with questions and I look forward to meeting you soon! Our website is: www.lakecitiesxc.org. All registration info is on our website or you can call me at your convenience any time at 214-244-3271
