A few more steps in the process of banding a call barrel.

The process of adding bands to calls strengthens the barrel while adding a little something extra to the overall look of a call. Fitted, epoxied, then pinned to ensure a lifetime of use.

1869 Indian head penny dug from a long lost road. Research and luck has produced quite a few artifacts along this old travel corridor.

Pretty cool silver dime I dug from an old farm road. I love old things and I believe 1875 meets the mark. Makes you wonder who’s pocket it fell out of.

Ammunition belt plate I dug from an old homesite. Circa 1886. Makes you wonder what the ammo it held was fired at.

I’ve had a dirty habit for the past 12 years, I am completely addicted to metal detecting. Pulling history from the ground and speculating how it got there can consume your thoughts. Researching historical records and going on a treasure hunt is one of life’s great adventures.
