Hornets Nest WGHS

So proud of this team. They fought hard every night and made the playoffs for the first time in years. We gained the respect of every member of our conference. These boys became believers in themselves and not a single match did they go into that they didn't think they couldn't win. Sad to see my seniors leave.

Come out Tuesday night at 6 and watch the 4-3 Hornets play HP Andrews at the Hornets Nest. Fresh off a 2-0 win against Davie County, the Hornets are led by junior Anthony Bermudez-Melchor with 6 goals on the year and contributions from Matthew Diering, Osman Mustafic, Bobby Welch, Fabian Galeana and Brian Cooper. Holding down the defensive end are Lane Decker, Richard Hughes, Jamir Cook, Matthew Cooper, Chase Moore and versatile Matheus Ferriera.

Summer workouts and 7v7 started this week. The boys are working hard and ready to go. Some new, young talent came out. Have to make some adjustments but a few really stood out. Go Hornets!!!
