We had so much fun with our race team traveling and racking up a number of victories including the USA Crits Benchmark Twilight Cycling Classic, North Carolina road race championship, 2nd at Rochester Twilight Criterium (part of the Pro Road Tour), and a string of local victories as well. We were pleased to represent GCS Sports/ HINO Motors - USA for the 2017 Tour De Martinique. One of the riders used our repaired frame and two rims throughout the 9 day stage race.

Phil turned into a lab rat today to test how carbon fiber shoe orthotics affect cycling power.
The results were interesting. The CF shoe orthotics were designed to give more arch support which could increase power output in the pedal stroke. Many of the participants reported an increase in support of their foot arch along with an improvement in pedaling posture while using the CF orthotic insoles. In Phil's case there was not an increase in power with the CF orthotics over his stock insoles.

The Armed Forces Cycling Classic was HOT! Shout out to Rob Laybourn who did a hell of a job putting this race on. We will definitely be attending for years to come. Thank you also to our host Scott who treated us like family during our stay!

Had a wonderful visit with our friend Chris Mikesell at Chomarat North America's new South Carolina plant. This new plant is dedicated to developing their trademarked C-PLY spread multi-axial reinforcements. This new concept reduces weight and manufacturing cost which leads to more competitive composite structures. Watch for Chomarat as a major player as the carbon fiber composite industry continues to evolve.
