We utilize dedicated beginners classes, for those with zero prior experience. Whether your goals are self-defense, fitness, or competition based, we have a program that will achieve it. just 2 blocks from the courthouse. Please note, the school entrance is at the rear of the building. Parking lot and on-street parking is available.

Flashback to 1998 competing as a BJJ White belt in San Bernardino, Ca.
A time when the Jiu-Jitsu scene in SoCal was still scarce (and totally nonexistent in Western Pennsylvania 😂).

Hindsight is 20/20.
After all the ups and downs it’s really about the version of you that has developed throughout the process.

Apply this insight to BJJ or whatever it is you’re pursuing for the long haul, and it’ll help reframe your mindset.

Working through some trapping and counter punch flows for the bare knuckle assignments.

In a training room discussion we addressed why trapping isn’t seen so much in professional fighting, and why it works best against the 99.9% of humans who don’t possess any real fighting skills or an IQ for close combat.

Incorporating Jeet Kune Do (Bruce Lee inspired) concepts into a realistic scenario is adding more toys to the toolbox, and expanding the students minds to the creative possibilities in striking.
