Congratulations to CHASE WHITE (South Central ‘28) on his recent commitment to ECU⚾️! Chase put together a very special sophomore season & kept that train rolling right thru the summer. Taking the ball in almost big matchup, Chase was 6-1 for The Falcons last year, with a 1.61 ERA, 77Ks in 56.1IP, en route to being named the Conference Pitcher of the Year! That was especially meaningful considering the incredible arm talent in this conference! Chase captured numerous other honors as well. During the summer, in addition to pitching for American Legion Post 39 & in select National Showcase Events, he was selected to play for Region 1 in the Body Armor State Games & selected to pitch in the PBR Future Games. He shined brightly throughout the Summer. From an Achievement & Performance standpoint, Chase has consistently stacked up Excellence. He is an equally impressive young man in his daily walk. I always like to have a chance to talk 1-on-1 first with any athlete, before we highlight on here. Every relationship is different, so how & when that happens with everyone is different. In the White's case, it just so happened to be Church this past Sunday, where we got to chat & celebrate his decision. Was pumped to listen to their excitement & humility.
An impressive list of programs pursued Chase...The Pirates got a good one! Excited to watch him continue to Develop & Compete the next 2 high school seasons and then watch the impact he’ll have at ECU, both on the field and off!

I’m not really sure what this picture has to do with anything, other than it is NFL Opening week, but I figure it’d make people read that we’re OPEN, so phones won’t ring as much. And I like to be Random😊!

IRON SHARPENING IRON! (Long 😬).
I wanted to share THE BEST THING I SAW YESTERDAY…and get in my feelings a moment….
NOTHING fires me up, like watching athletes in here CHALLENGE, COMPETE & ultimately LIFT UP each other’s performance. Whether Skill or Physical Development, you can usually look around and see someone more Advanced than you, and someone not as Advanced as you. It is very easy in here to see WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE. It’s an unspoken, non-advertised, but ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL thread in the fabric of this business. While teaching, I will often tell the hitter to look at another cage where a hitter is executing exactly what we may be trying to work on. It helps. It works….
Fast forward to last night. EXPLOSIVE THURSDAY. We were baseline testing our High School Guys in a number of areas. Vert Mats, Lasers, Bar Speed, Tape measures, body comp scales etc etc etc. OBJECTIVE MEASUREMENTS. LOTTA Alpha Behavior. Lotta Testosterone. Lotta Competing. A debate on speed broke out. In the SPIRIT OF CHASING BETTER, I may or may not have purposely provoked things. Next thing you know, two of the best players in our area/two of the best athletes in our building/two of the best competitors in our building, had ripped off their shirts and headed out to the sidewalk to settle it in a 60. They raced twice, with ALOTTA peers watching, in 100 degree weather, where we already had a full menu of work for them….and even though it disrupted our session, I freaking loved it!!
Not any of us coaches, no training plan, no nothing coulda heightened the ENERGY, DESIRE & COMPETITIVE SPIRIT within them, the way that the two of them pushing each other did. We got every bit of them in those two runs. Neither kid afraid of failing. Neither afraid of losing. Let’s just go COMPETE & settle it!!!!!!

I really hope no one ever takes that piece of things for granted in here. Cause no matter the age, there is great value in the membership setup, class setup, even lesson setup, where it is very easy to look around and see WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE!
I woke up this morning thinking about that race and how I get to see guys compete every Thursday. With the bar. With the stopwatch. With the laser. With the Vert Mat. With the plan we give them. With themselves.
But most especially, WITH EACH OTHER. THAT’S how ATHLETIC MONSTERS are built! And I’m very Proud of & Grateful for that.

Milestone Monday! Let’s celebrate some pretty unique achievement yesterday & a unique relationship that not all of you may be aware of….
ALEC BURLESON collected his 100th RBI of the season for the St Louis Cardinals, becoming the 1st LH Hitting Cardinal to do that in 22 years😳!
DIXON WILLIAMS yesterday became just the 2nd player in Rome franchise history (Atlanta Braves High A) to hit 20+ HRs & steal 30 bags in a single season😳!
WHAT’S REALLY COOL about both these milestones occurring on the same day, is that these guys were TRAINING PARTNERS this past offseason 4-5 days per week 🤝 🐎 for 4 months! Iron Sharpening Iron! So alotta fun to celebrate last night!

Quite a college debut for Next Level alum BRITNI SILVER (DH Conley ‘26)! The NC State Freshman collected a team-high 15 Kills in the Wolfpack’s season-opening win vs Stony Brook University…she also had 9 Digs & 2 blocks. Pretty cool to see your name in the headline in your first college match!

Boys, or Girls (in fact we had a fun & productive summer with a consistent turnout of girls this summer), ages 8-11.
No registration required. Just show up as often as your Fall practice/game schedules allow. Pay as you go.
