Something to celebrate! 🎉 In a massive win for outdoor recreation, The Great American Outdoors Act has passed out of the House overwhelmingly with a 310-107 vote! This bill will provide billions in funding to protect our public lands and waterways, improve our access to them, and provide long-overdue funding for trails, parks, and more across the country. A decades-long effort to secure permanent funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) will become a reality when the President signs this bill and secures billions more for the maintenance of National Parks, National Forests, and other public lands.

Coming of age on the Salmon River 05/08/2020

Outdoor writer and paddling enthusiast, William Brock describing his journey down Idaho’s Salmon River. Brock’s multi-day expedition, in a Mad River Guide canoe, is captured in this award-winning story:

Coming of age on the Salmon River The Old Canoeist was a much younger man the last time he did a big river trip in a solo boat, so he had his doubts about paddling an 81-mile wilderness stretch of the Salmon River earlier this month.
