Ridgeline Traditional Archery

Well its over again. Long tuff season here,with very little daylight activity an a massive acorn crop. Made it for some tough hunting. Lots of memories made and good time. I was able to put a little meat in the freezer. Till next season Lord willing, will be back at it with stick and string in hand.

Well, I got my season off to a good start. A few unsuccessful hunts until this evening. Was in the stand 19 minutes when two does walked in. Thank you Lord for blessing me with one to bring home.

What a season! Only filled one tag, first light opening day and two misses and a handful of in range with no shot. I put a lot of time in the stand this year. The commit to hunt deer with a traditional bow is hard but rewarding. To have deer just feet away totally unaware of my presence is unbelievable. It's all about the hunt not the kill, the time with family and friends that keeps me grinding it out. Yes, I love taking one home, but if it was easy the challenge wouldn't be there. Til next year, Lord willing I'll be back at it with stick and string for the deer hunting chess match. Happy New Year!

Been tuff this year. Since opening day I've seen a good many deer. I've missed two and had a handful of others inside 20yd, but no shot. This morning I just had to let one fly. Man I love traditional bow hunting!
