The Sharks were well represented at the Half Mile Lake Christmas Parade last weekend! 🎄🦈 Huge thanks to everyone who came out — and a special shout-out to Tanna Blackman for organizing our team’s participation. Great job, Sharks!

Recently, several Sharks who swim year-round achieved amazing feats worthy of celebrating.
Lucy Tamer earned a star on Team Greenville’s “All Best Times” wall by swimming her fastest times in each of her events at TG’s most recent meet.
Likewise, Leana Blackman earned a star on TG’s wall when she swam her best times in TG’s recent meet.
Landon Dodder excelled all season for Eastside’s state championship winning team, setting numerous personal bests. Landon is also swimming for TG, where her mom says she’s having a blast.
Ollie Tucker and Bella Fee swam so fast for Wade Hampton that both of them qualified for the SCHSL state championship meet.
And Coach Max Tucker is off to an outstanding start to his college career at St. Bonaventure, where he earned a spot on the travel team, a rare feat for a freshman.
We are so proud of these Sharks and look forward to continuing to follow their successes all year! If your Shark swims year round and you would like us to highlight him or her in a future update, please email us at [email protected] to tell us about his/her accomplishments and provide a photo. 🦈

Families, friends, and WHHS community, past, present, and future:
SAVE THE DATE!
We’re just one week away from kicking off WHHS Spirit Week next Wednesday, September 17, in support of STUCO and PMAC! 🎉 PMAC (Poe Mill Achievement Center) is a non-profit educational program for elementary school students.
We would love for you to attend the adult kick off event at Hey Day—and to help spread the word!
Here’s how you can support:
Personally text, share, or post the invite to at least five of your WHHS friends and community members.
✨ The event is free! There will be opportunities to donate throughout the evening, and our generous venue, Hey Day, will be giving 10% back to us for the charity. So come enjoy, listen to the live FAC band, eat and socialize.
The more the merrier—let’s make this a huge success for our WHHS community!

The Sharks wrapped up the 2025 season with a spectacular showing at Classics, breaking seven team records and dropping unbelievable amounts of time. Among the fantastic performances were:
• Landon Dodder breaking our records in 50m breaststroke (which she just set at divisionals) and 100m freestyle (a record that had stood since 1996)
• Makai Miller breaking our records in 100m freestyle and 50m butterfly (a record that had stood since 1989)
• Max Tucker cementing his legacy as perhaps the greatest Shark of all time by breaking team records in all three of his events (his final swims for PCHM), 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, and 50m butterfly
• Angeline Fronczak cutting a ridiculous 5.87 seconds in 100 IM and an equally ridiculous 2.17 seconds in 25m backstroke to take second place overall
• Maris Tucker taking fourth place overall in 50m freestyle
• Lucy Tamer cutting more than 3.5 seconds in 50m freestyle
Congratulations to each of these Sharks and all the other Sharks who competed yesterday, and thank you for putting a giant exclamation point on an incredible season! ❤️🦈🖤
