Haven't been around last week because I was around Dawson Springs Kentucky. 377 Homes were destroyed December 11, 2021 by a tornado. There is a lot of wreckage all around. Seeing the area now and looking at Google maps to see what it looked like before is unbelievable. If it wasn't for volunteers there wouldn't be much rebuilding in this area especially now that the eastern part of Kentucky was also devastated by flooding. I'd like to encourage everyone to volunteer sometime and help those who have had trouble and had their lives turned upside down. Most of all keep them all in your prayers as they reconstruct, and especially those who have lost loved ones in these storms.

Popped up in memories. Lost everything I put into it. I still think this plant is going to be the future in crop rotations because we need this remarkable renewable resource. It fills in so many things that we live with every day. From paper, ropes, clothing, gas supplement, building materials, and even some of the hardest resin known for boats, cars, etc. There are 25000 things that this plant can supply.

Hopefully the cold weather is over and things will begin to grow.

Another couple of weeks and everyone will be throwing in the seeds and plants. Hope the freezing weather is over as the flowers really started popping this week. By next week you'll be able to see the rows from one end to the other

How many of you advertise farm to table? People are wanting to know more about where their food comes from and I think in the upcoming years we may be busy especially as prices are increasing and supply chains are disrupted due to cost of fuel, and inflation.

Its been a busy week and also in some respect a trying one. This post may be a little long and I apologize up front.
A plane went down close to our area this weekend and several kids and several adults were killed, there were no survivors. Today another plane went down and the two gentlemen survived. As a pilot it hits close to home because I love the freedom you feel when your up there. My wife on the other hand lets me know every time there is an incident. It is a chance anytime we leave the comforts of our homes that we may never return. Make sure you know the Lord and Savior first so you know where your life will be after this one is over. Why does God allow this to happen? He has his reasons. Never take your family for grant it and tell them often how much you love them.
Spreading fertilizer for the peonies today also allows me the anticipation of another crop in just a few short months. The plants that grew and died off are returning with new growth which we as farmers anticipate each year. New life is a joy to watch no matter what it is. It needs to be fed and nourished. Spend time with your kids feed and nourish them.
Keep these families impacted by this trajedy in you prayers. Keep yours there as well.

Against my better judgement I planted this for CBD oil and lost everything I put into it.
I still think one day this plant will work into the crop rotation of American farmers as grain and fiber products. You can make paper, clothing, and even automobiles and houses out of the fiber. Conventional housing products are on the rise and this may be a cheaper alternative. You will get tired of wearing the clothing instead of it wearing out and you needing new. Carbon credits should also be a good source of money for those willing to plant in the years to come. So what are your thoughts?
