Eight.

Wow. Where to even find the words.

Eight years ago I took the leap to open Skyward Aerial Arts with hopes of fostering even a handful of aerial journeys outside of my own.

I never could have imagined what we’ve built here and where we would be eight years later. We - because I didn’t do this alone. When I founded Skyward I had one objective in mind: be a safe place for people to grow & explore. Somewhere where people can return to loving themselves and their bodies in a world that is hell bent on pointing out “flaws.” Somewhere where people can rewrite their relationship with themselves to feel proud of their accomplishments - whether they became advanced aerialists or not. A place where we celebrate each other.

What happened next was beyond my wildest dreams. Waves of likeminded individuals found their way into our orbit. They truly embodied the spirit of what I wanted to build. They show up for each other, cheer for each other and hold space for each other in all chapters of life. They show up imperfect and leave feeling lighter in spirit.

Over the years I have had the privilege to coach so many vibrant souls. Some have moved away or pursued other ambitions - but their impact still lingers in the spirit of this community (and they should all come back because I miss them 🥹🙏)

I am so beyond grateful for everyone who has shared this journey with me - whether a student or a supporter. I cannot wait for you to see what’s in store for year 9. We are just getting started 💜.
