What an absolutely rad weekend in the mountains of Virginia for the 1st King of the Ranch. Huge thanks to Nic Still for organizing it, Rob at The Ranch for letting a bunch of skate rats take over his place, Prothirty and GHOST/SHIP SUPPLY COMPANY for putting up the cash for 1st place and best cabin, Clyde Singleton for rockin' the food for everyone (even had tofu and veggie burgers for me), Richard Elkins Jr. for the SICK trophies, all the bands that played, all the skaters that slayed, all the memories made.....
Grass roots contests like this are what's missing from skateboarding. No monster logos on every ramp, No jock attitudes, No meathead security guards, No "coach dads" barking orders from the sideline, just a crew of skateboarders coming together from different states to skateboard/hang out, and THAT'S what makes skateboarding so awesome. See ya next year !

Come out this Sunday, June 21st, for our annual event at JayCee Park kicking off at 4pm. We'll have the newest obstacle built by Greenville Skateboarding Projects out there for everyone to check out as well as all our usual ramps/rails. There's also some killer stuff being raffled off with all funds going to the GSP park re-building fund. We've also got some RAD prizes that we'll be giving out for everything from best trick to best face plant so come out and have some fun with us, and help support a great cause. Shop will be open from 1-4 then closing for the event so get down there early if you need anything.

Everyone remembers the first time they walked into a skateshop to pick out their first board, and today 6 year old "Coop" got to experience that feeling. He picked out everything on his own. Pretty good choices if you ask me....Coop's gonna be practicing in his driveway to get the hang of it but Im sure we'll be seeing him out at the skatepark sooner than later
