It is exactly the reminder I needed — especially this year: that nothing should keep us from what we love.

For those of you who haven’t heard the story, I had reached out to several Dancesport designers. Very few of them contacted me back. The few that did seemed too busy to care about what I wanted. Nazar and his team had HEART! They asked me for my preferences, styles, and pictures of inspiration. He and his team were also the only ones who sent drawings. Not to mention, Nazar was designing and sending me photos through his team… While hiding in a basement as the war broke out. 🇺🇦😭

I said there were more important things to worry about — like staying alive. His answer? “Designing is like air.” 💔😭 His assistant said he was really excited about this dress.

So, this dress is not only a gorgeous design, but the story makes it priceless. It also serves as a reminder that if Nazar can do what he loves, despite the worst of situations, I will do my best to do the dress justice.
