🌟 September Instructor of the Month: Katie 🌟

Katie is one of our amazing Head Instructors and a Level 1 Certified Swim Whisperer who teaches adaptive swim lessons at our Greenville location. She’s always willing to jump in and help wherever she’s needed, and she has such a gift for encouraging her swimmers to be brave, try new things, and achieve skills they may not have thought they could do!

Tip Tuesday: Breath Control! 🫧

Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles! They’re more important than you might think. Learning breath control is a BIG part of becoming a confident swimmer, so we build this skill step-by-step. 🙌

First, we practice exhaling above the water. Then, we move to blowing bubbles with the mouth. Once they’ve got that down, we work on blowing bubbles through the nose… and this one can be a little trickier.

Want to help your kid practice at home? Try:
👃 Having them pretend to blow their nose
🎶 Tell them to hum! Humming naturally sends air out through the nose. You can make it extra fun by having them hum a favorite song!

A little practice goes a long way! 🫧🏊‍♂️
