Coaches Pitch Championship Night – Monday, May 11 Tomorrow night we are turning Butler Springs into our own postseason under the lights! Team Jonah Smith takes on Team Brent McDonald at 5:45 PM for the Coaches Pitch Championship, followed by the Third-Place Game between Team Jonah Messina and Team Jon Poole. Come out in your WHLL gear and let's pack the park!

End-of-Season Party – Sunday, May 17
Join us at Butler Springs Park from 2:00–5:00 PM! We will have wiffle ball, pizza, snacks, dessert, face painting, All-Star spotlights, small prizes, and end-of-season surveys. Bring a dish to share if you would like. Local vendors interested in setting up a table, reach out to [email protected].

Minors & Majors Tournament Week
Tuesday, May 19 – First Round Minors 10U: 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3 at 6:00 PM Majors 12U: 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3 at 7:45 PM

Thursday, May 21 – Championship Games Winners advance to the Minors 10U and Majors 12U championships. Final seeds announced later this week.

Softball at Home
Butler Springs Park will host both Minors and Majors Softball state tournaments in 2026! District play begins June 13, state kicks off June 25. Volunteers needed — reach out to [email protected].

⭐ 2026 WHLL All-Star Teams
Congratulations to our 2026 All-Stars! These players have earned the opportunity to represent WHLL in postseason tournament play and we could not be more proud.

Coaches Pitch All-Stars – Red Jerseys District begins May 29 · State begins June 11

Minors 10U All-Stars – Red & Black Squads District begins June 18 · State begins July 9

Majors 12U All-Stars – Red Jerseys District begins June 18 · State begins July 16

2025 laid the foundation. 2026 is our time to go even further. Thank you to every player, parent, coach, and volunteer who has made this season what it has been.

⚾️ Just One More Game ⚾️

As the season starts winding down, there’s something special about kids who still can’t get enough baseball. Today, when a few extra players were needed for game 1, players from Coach Grandy’s team jumped right in alongside Coach McCollister’s team to help out their fellow Generals right before they played in game 2 against each other.

No second thought — just more time at the ballfield. ❤️

That’s the kind of stuff these kids will remember. Not just the games themselves, but the bonus at-bats, helping teammates out, and finding any excuse to play a little more ball before the season comes to an end.

And honestly… how could you not get nostalgic for a game like tee ball? ⚾️

Welcome to the WHLL Family, Jay Jackson!

This past Saturday at Butler Springs Park was a day we will not soon forget. Our President Chad McCormick and Vice President Kory Radford had the honor of presenting MLB pitcher Jay Jackson with a custom bat crafted by our friends at right here in our community, along with an official Wade Hampton Little League hat, welcoming him into the WHLL family.

The pitching clinic brought out some of the best energy we have ever seen at Butler Springs Park. From our Minors all the way up to Majors, Jay worked with our players on mechanics, arm care, and what it takes to compete at the highest level. The kids locked in, the coaches showed up, and the parents packed the park. What a turnout.

To our WHLL coaches — thank you. The time, the patience, and the dedication you pour into this league does not go unnoticed. You are the backbone of everything we do and this day would not have been possible without each and every one of you. To our parents, thank you for trusting us with your players and for showing up the way you always do.

Clinic

⚾️ From the diamonds of Greenville to the Major Leagues — and back home where it all began. ⚾️

Today, Wade Hampton Little League had the absolute honor of hosting MLB pitcher Jay Jackson for a pitching clinic at Butler Springs Park, and we are still smiling from ear to ear!

For those who may not know, Jay is one of our own. A Greenville native who got his start right here in our community at Northwood Little League before going on to play at Christ Church Episcopal School and Furman University, where he was a 1st Team All-Southern Conference selection. From there, he was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 2008 MLB Draft and went on to have a remarkable 17-year professional career — pitching for 6 MLB teams including the Braves, Brewers, Twins, Giants, Padres, and Blue Jays, AND earning two stints pitching in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball league.

And today, he came back, for the kids. For OUR kids.

Thank you to our President Chad McCormick and VP Kory Radford for making this happen, and to every WHLL coach who showed up and helped keep this clinic running smoothly. To our parents, your support means the world.

This is what baseball does. It comes full circle. Jay walked the same path these kids are beginning today, and seeing him pour back into the next generation right here in our community is exactly what Wade Hampton Little League is all about.

Our league has come so far, and this is just the beginning. ⚾️ 🔴 ⚫️ ⚪️

We can’t wait to see some familiar faces tonight! It’s going to be a great night for some baseball! Let’s pack it out Generals!
